I'm playing FC 2, and I'm wondering if anyone else has run into the same problem I have...

I just finished a mission, got within inches of Pala, got stuck, and now can't get out of the rock-rock-hard place that I'm currently in (literally). I really don't want to have to spend another five minutes driving 20ft, then having to fight another angry horde of men who are supposed to be on my side...any suggestions?

Also, what other problems have you run into so far?

If your buddy is rescue ready, maybe you can kill yourself with grenades and have them rescue you.

I tried that, but I was stuck in a sort of rock/bottomless pit sort of deal and he never came.

This game would be amazing if I didn't spend well over 75% of the time driving...it's like being back in LA for christ sake!!!

I agree. And while I do enjoy a nice epic journey towards your target (like Morrowind and Fallout 3), the enemies are so repetitive that each trip becomes less epic and more same-ey. That all changes when you do something frickin' awesome on one such romp, like crashing through a bridge fence and swimming for your life in a hail of gunfire.

I found a gold plated in-corrodable ak-47 in the northern territory, was wondering if anybody else found any gold weapons?

Nothing yet, sorry...

As do I, but I really wish it didn't have to be SO LONG! On one mission, I drove clear across the map...now I only stop if they kill my car, then, out comes the flame-thrower to do some justice! Oh, I NEVER travel by boat!!! That's like asking to die!!!

Is this game worth getting? Seriously, I'm strongly considering buying it this Saturday and would like to know your opinion. I like FPSs and the idea of planning attacks on targets but do the constant treks across the map really detract from the fun? Bit of a shit question, really...

It's a solid RENT, don't buy it, you'll be disappointed. It's a cool game, don't get me wrong, but it's not worth full price if you ask me.

I didn't like the game. Actually I think it sucks. Graphics is nice but it has shader glitches (like shadows on characters). Game is all about going from A to B and killing stuff. But this game offers infinite respawns of machinegun cars so its playtime is trippled.

Fire physics is bullshit. Try to use single shot from flamethrower in open field and you will get a perfect circle with 20m radius.

Gunshot hits sucks. You shoot and see some weird red cloud on enemy.

Can't recommend it to anyone.

Take the bus, that way you'll drive less and save a lot of time. Don't always follow the road
