And it was the pro-badger campaigners who appeared to steal a march on the political activists.

Young women dressed in fake fur were seen chasing doughty nationalist supporters down London's Whitehall as a large number of security forces in iridescent jackets looked on from police lines.
I humbly submit this to the Internet for "Win of the Day".

Good for them, I suppose.

So the extremists saw a group of young women cosplaying as badgers and led by Brian May run towards them and their reaction was to run away?

I'd just stick around to see what would happen, because stuff like that usually only happens in dreams.

Just you wait, this will spark a new fashion trend across the globe.

[sub][sub]I loved every word of that article. The fact that I live in a world where that can just randomly happen makes me feel warm inside.[/sub][/sub]

Win of the day?

Win of the month at the very least. I can see of only one way this could've been better, if this song [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIyixC9NsLI] had been playing during the event.

Is it bad that I heard 'Mushroom! Mushroom!' in my head after I read that?

I heard about this via Billy Bragg's Facebook, gave me a giggle. Anti badger cull and anti-nationalist? That's too much correct for one march.

Okay, I must admit I thought that this would be from one of the various satire sites on the internet, but no, this actually happened it seems.

Awesome.

The only way I could be happier with this story is if they were all chased off a cliff.

In fact, every time I'm sad, i'm going to imagine a load of right wing extremists backed up to a cliff by a crowd of people dressed as badgers who then say:

"They look thirsty!"

"WELL LET'S GIVE 'EM SOMETHING TO DRINK!"

Yeah, I'm going to be imagining that when next I see that film.

"Badgers! Prepare for glory!".

Considering this happened in London, your submission while be summarily denied unless the Benny Hill theme was playing in the backround.

Of course, if this took place in the US, it'd have to have been Pleasant Valley Sunday.

The thread title alone got me interested. XD This is priceless. I wonder if the extremist were screaming this as they fled?

Glad they didn't have the Holy Hand Grenade with them. =P

...What? Actually, I kinda wish I could have been there to see it... Why can't we do this with nutters across the pond?

I saw this earlier today, and at first I assumed I was hallucinating from sleep-deprivation.

Sometimes, being British is awesome. This is the kind of craziness that makes life fun - Brian May leading a bunch of cos-playing Badger-people in a charge against bigoted idiots who turn and flee...you honestly could not make that up.

This has been a great week for awesomeness and restoring one's faith in humanity, as not only is there the above, but:

Yup. Awesome week.
