Pretend to stop and tie your shoe; helps re-arrange the butt cheeks to avoid the sounds. As you stand back up, sort of skip forward a bit..escape the smell.
Hopefully when you bend down to tie your shoe, she will have moved on a few steps. If not, move to one side and put your foot up on a wall. Should create some distance.

I really don't get why people ridicule farting so much. It's a natural occurrence of the human body that we need to survive (seriously)! It really bugs me when I fart and people look at me like if I'm the devil or something, even after I say "excuse me."

I still don't fart in front of my friends, and I've known them since primary school :/ (so over 10 years at least.)

I fart in front of my family though, maybe it's just an appearance thing. xD I don't care if my family get annoyed.

Edit:

Sorry yea i didnt mean "cool" as in impressive and funny. I ment cool and a exceptible.
You don't have to be sorry. I know what you meant, but I took it the literal way instead, just incase. Anyway, like I said, it's acceptable as long as they aren't intentionally being ignorant about it, I guess.

Dear God I just faceplamed so hard I think I broke my damn nose! Ok that being said I think farts are allways funny, and no I'm not a teenager I'm over fourty, if you fart around kids they laugh, the same goes for old folks in the nursing home if someone blasts a good one even the oldest man will giggle like a kid, provided he can hear said fart.

Anyways as far as I know it's always okay, but it's just unpleasent and you should just keep it in your pants untill you're in the bathroom or something
Can I just say that I'm misinterpreting this statement for all that it's worth?

OT: Hell if I know, I just generally try to avoid it in the first place.

Anyone who puts good manners before good health is a fool. What's wrong with farting? I don't mean just let it out when you feel like it, but when nature calls, nature calls.

Why would you feel the need to do that? If you feel one building, for lack of a better phrase, excuse yourself out of the room. It's a natural function but you wouldn't start a new job and burp in your bosses face and fart during an interview. No reason why you'd do it whilst lying in bed with your lady friend either.
Jokes on you it happens when we sleep too.

It's natural. It might be somewhat unpleasant, but it's a bodily function that happens anyways.

There. Good health is better then good manners. Don't be the guy who's peeing his pants but doesn't want to leave the table during some elaborate dinner because it would be considered rude in some cultures. Your bladder and your pants are more important then any manners.

I'm just saying that if you know the people you're farting next to that they'll not shun you for letting one go, well atleast if they're not super shallow. Altough it's still not something you should just do, nobody wants to smell your fart.

Also @thiosk I don't think that's possible

im part of that group of people that finds farting hilarious.

Farting in front of new people & New Gf's is a social foux par.

If you fart in front of your Girlfriend, you love her, If you then trap her under the covers, She's your wife.

Oh, I agree so much. Some people are just too stuck up.

I always try to let go of my farts as soon as I can feel it (which is quite often). My stomach really hurts otherwise.

The misinterpretation had less to do with farting and more to do with "It's just unpleasant, just keep it in your pants until you get to the bathroom or something."
