Definitely TF2's Heavy. It was practically made to be cosplayed by bigger guys, and TF2 cosplayers are always a crowd pleaser. Double points if you can find a big group to go with. You could probably pull off the Engie, too, if you're not too keen on trying to find/make a minigun prop for the Heavy.

You could always be Fatman from Metal Gear Solid 2. All you would need is a BIG coat, neck/face cover, roller-blades, and a bald cap. For accessories a C4 and an airsoft glock wouldn't be to hard to find.

I'd suggest Heavy too, although my first thought was Fatman, from Metal Gear Solid 2. Just be careful on the roller skates around convention crowds.

I'm a big fan of The 404's improv group, and that's the only place near me they perform. Also, my life long buddy loves anime, I don't hate it, so I go. Lastly, a rave. Gotta love techno.

Heavy has been thought of. The only problem is the minigun prop, and no one else who's willing to do it with me unfortunately.

As for Fatman, rollerblades are strictly forbidden on the premises.

My friends an I were able to make an awesome looking mini gun out of a nerf vulcan, 6 pieces of 3 foot pvc pipe, a large bucket, a smaller bucket, a can of black spray paint and a can of gray spray paint.

Turned out awesome.

Good luck finding something appropriate though

Im a big guy to and i went to halloween as Chef from Southpark, and fed all the girls in my class my Salty Chocolate Balls, which i actually made, and they loved them! But that wouldn't count, would it boo.

Jim, it's Anime North in Ontario.

Anime North? That's coming up, huh? Is that the one at the convention centre in Toronto? Might have to hit that up.

As for other suggestions, how about E. Honda from Street Fighter? Could you pull that off? Doesn't seem too tough.
