That is awesome, I dont like tattoos and still think it looks cool

OT: Twilight and people who like it, I have said it before but as of this last month I have canceled 2 dates after fining out the girls were fans of it, well that and I wasnt really all that into them
Thanks.

I hate twilight as much as the next person but using as a reason to not like somebody (either friendship or partner) is a little extreme, don't yout think?
Not if they come in wearing an Edward shirt, mostly I dont say anything if they dont, but that just wasnt going to work

Smoking. I cannot comprehend how a person can willingly continue to kill themselves and those around them.

Who's Edward? Or do you mean those jaw droppingly, god awful phenomena called Jedward? If it is Jedward you should have done more than leave her, like slap sense into her.

As a lifeguard i dont understand how people cannot swim.
I can't swim. I have no idea why. I guess my feet would rather wiggle downward in hopes of finding hard ground rather than help me float.

I hate people who play the race card, the gender card, etc. "You can't do anything I don't like because it's a hate-crime."

I don't hate you because of your race, I hate you because you're a fucking moron.

Racism...

Sounds kinda odd, and most of the time when I realise someone is racist I stop interacting with them, so it's hardly like they're friends, but I can't even understand racism. I get the concept, I know the psychology, but it is an utterly foreign concept to me.

A Jedward is believed to be a humanoid set of twins with stupid haircut and a ridiculous personality that have been made famous by the moronic general public of England from the horrific freak show "X factor", google them to see this freak of nature.

My friends and I (Ahhh, see what I did there?) keep getting into fights about mathematical equations. Things like the 1=2 and point nine recurring equals one, just silly simple stuff. But no matter how much evidence I bring, or the various theorems I prove they just can't grasp the concept.

It just boggles my mind that these most of the time intelligent people can't understand something I can explain and show them and try to 'find' a way to disprove me.

all the time when people don't know what they're doing in matlab(a fancy programmable calculator basically). "Put a freakin', ' damnit!"

Oh, and I'd like to agree with someone above me who said, "racism" I can't understand why my roomate decides to blame the race of a person for hte reason they're pissing him off. It's usually his own fault too and he's a major drama queen... Why am I rooming with him next year? Beats me. He has a hot girlfriend though, i can't understand why she's sticking around.

I have quite a few pet peeves that I could list here. I'll see if I can whittle this list down a bit to just a couple.

1. People over the age of 14 that say "for reals" or "for realsies", I don't know what it is about those two phrases but it grates on my nerves. I have a friend who is 27 that has to drop one of those two into a conversation on a daily basis. She thinks it is cute/clever, I just want to belt her in the jaw.
2. Anyone who uses words like "OMG, IDK, BTW, or BRB" or anything like that when actually TALKING TO SOMEONE. I have never run into an instance where talking like this has benefited anyone, and it just makes you look like an ass. Knock it off, people.
3. Those people who are in such a big hurry (and often either talking or texting on their cell phone) and just decide that they are more important than you and cut in front of you in a line. To a degree I'm glad they have mostly banned talking/texting while you drive, now if we could only knock that out when someone is in a store... stupid FCC.

I know I'm not winning any popularity contests with this admissions, but it's about time someone says it. People who do these things are just trying to get attention, and for that they should be kicked in the ass whenever possible.

I cannot for the life of me understand how the hell people who claim to be "pro-life" can also be "pro-war".

I have never been able to understand peoples reasons for judging or wishing to punish others if the reason for the hate is something that doesn't effect them, or anyone else in a negative way.

Kind of an awkward wording, but my whole moral system is based around this idea. I won't judge someone for any reason until whatever they are doing is hurting someone else physically or emotionally. Sadly, most people think its okay to hate people for ridiculous reasons, like loving sex ("being a slut") to name one example.
My moral system kinda goes like that too: Everything is okay until it imposes upon others. You're of X religion or faith? Wonderful, I support you, just don't knock anybody else's faith or lack thereof. You're of Z sex orientation? Splendid, but don't force your biological instincts on anyone else. You're of P opinion about abortion? Excellent, but that should apply to your vaginal discharges, and nobody else's.

And so on, and so forth. I've actually designed part of a country based around a "The only crime is to impose on others" system - I think it might work quite well.

Intolerant Fundamentalists. I just don't get it. The compulsive need to not only look with shame at anyone who chooses to live differently, but ACTIVELY seek to persecute those who do. I... I just don't get those who use their freedom of religion and try to curtail others rights.

X factor is the exact same as America's got talent, pop idol and Britain's got talent, just something else for people to say "HA, look at them fail".

On topic, that is another set of people I hate, the people who can only talk about these talent shows.

This is a toughy, since it's hard to narrow it down or really get it to a smaller number. Like...one that's under a hundred. >.>

Well, to start...

I can't understand what people have against spelling out full words during games where you have the time to do so. Seeing things like u y lol and whatnot just piss me off for some strange reason. The same holds true for punctuation.

I also hate stereotypes that people seem to link everyone in said stereotype to. Blacks, gays, furries, Irish, Scottish...they've all got a stereotype that everyone links all of them to. There are exceptions, but people refuse to acknowledge this in most cases.

Then there's griefers/trolls. I don't understand what it is that gets them off when they do the things they do, since all it does is make them look like an idiot. And you can't bash them for it since their conscience doesn't allow them to understand when they're the ones the joke is being played on. They just act like it was their plan all along.

Lesse...there's also how people are trying to fix the gas economy, and yet I still see these gas guzzling trucks, SUVs, HumVees that make up about 90% of traffic now-a-days. It just floors me how stupid some people can be...

Magazines. I've begun to hate looking at the magazines that sit right next to the check-out at grocerie stores and stuff. All this stuff on the front. Scandal! Rape! Marriage! Break ups! How to lose weight in a week! I sometimes feel sorry for the stars shown on these magazines. They can't go outside without a guy with a camera following them, questioning/interrogating them, then twisting their words to make it sound as bad as is possible.

...sorry, I'll stop now.

I'm confused. Are you saying cigarettes don't relieve stress (because they do), or are you saying that's not why people smoke them?
In my experience smokers have been the most stressed out, and those that I knew before they smoked/a few months after they quit were a lot calmer when they weren't smoking, so the idea that smoking relaxes seems laughable to me. I've also been taught that nicotine is a stimulant, but since a quick google search yielded little useful information I can't say for sure.

As for why I believe people smoke, social pressures and lack of willpower to quit, but since I'm not a smoker, I would have little idea why.

[sub]I have many relatives who have had their lungs wrecked/early strokes/cancer/etc. due to smoking, so I could be looking through biased eyes[/sub]

I let my cousin borrow my entire collection of Metal Gear. When he handed the games back to me, he had this "WTF was it all about?" look on his face and it was inconcievable that he didn't grasp the plot.
