Swan Princess, The Last Unicorn, and Thumbelina :). Those are just my favourites, I still love all of the obvious choices.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Ghostbusters
The Iron Giant
The Incredibles
Star Wars 1-3 (I watched them when I was a kid, but I wasn't even alive when they were originally made.)
Revenge Of The Nerds (Pretty amazing to watch when I was 12.)

Land Before Time.

EDIT: Oh! And Watership Down! Maybe. Depends how mature a 5-year old she is..
I'd say she ought to read the Watership Down book instead, but I'm in total agreement with FargoDog when it comes to Land Before Time. (Though you ought to stay away from its hellspawn of sequels.)

The Navigator, Short Circuit, Wallace & Gromit, Home alone 1 & 2...damn I can't remember all the films we had on VHS back then!

My personal faves back when I was a kid, which are still my fave films are the Back to the Future trilogy.

- The NeverEnding Story (the first one, don't bother with the sequels)
- The Princess Bride
- Flight of the Navigator
- Secret of Nhym

...I know I've been ninja'd on all of those, but I thought I'd remention them anyway.
There's another one, but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. It's been driving me nuts for years. I could give you a complete Readers Digest summery of the movie except for the title and any of the character's names. yeaauuuuugh!

That means you must be, like, four or five years old, yes?
