Favorite alien race in a videogame

I think I can honestly say that sci-fi is my favorite genre, something about the concept of exploring planets other than this one is just exciting. But easily one of the most appealing aspects of space are the aliens, intelligent beings that aren't Human and can really spice things up. So what's your favorite alien race? I know what mine is.

The Sangheili/Elites from Halo. No one kicks ass and takes names quite like they do. I don't know, maybe it's the fact that they really earn the name Elite in combat, maybe it's that they have kickass energy swords, whatever it is, they are badass.

I started playing Half-life 2 without having the slightest clue that they would end up as our allies. They turned from random goons to shoot to friends and even saviors. They got a rich culture, they are eager to help and overall smell of badassery.

Really, love these guys.

I would say either the Protoss, Elites, or Turians.

Protoss because they are my main race in Starcraft 2, the first race I started as(not including Terran), and motherfucking Zeratul.

Elites because they are, like you said, complete badasses and Halo was one of my first true shooter experiences.

Turians because, Garrus.

Lot of elite love. But need I remind you that they are nothing more than a predator, klingon hybrid. Still pretty cool though. Truth is, there isn't alot of originality in the aliens you encounter in games. If I was to go for the original, it would have to be the Ungyoy, lol

Some good ones out there, but I've gotta go with the Quarians. They have a really cool appearance and back story plus I quite enjoy the fact that they are far from a simple race. I like that they have the depth they do and are miles away from simple black and white, or are just generically "good" or "bad" aliens.

These badass mofos right here fly around in the equivalent of a tin can with an airsoft gun taped to the side and they still have the balls to take on the biggest baddies in the galaxy head on. Everyone is tiny babyman compared to the Shofixti.

So, failing that, I'm gonna say anything infected with Phazon.

Notable Mention: The Flood just for being right up there in the horror factor when they want to be. Unfortunately for them though, being disturbing and scary doesn't make them the best.
