I love cats, more especially my cat.

Although, if I had to pick an animal I don't have a personal connection with it would be Leopards. They have managed to spread across the globe and can adapt very well. They are always one step ahead of the game and know when to run.

This started when I seen a documentary on them.

Zebras are awesome. Giraffes are awesome. Thus, the okapi is the coolest animal ever.

The beaver. Only animal besides humans that deliberately and knowingly distorts nature for its own purposes---a beaver will level trees and divert entire rivers for housing. Not for nothing is the beaver the mascot for most engineering schools in the United States.

If beavers could play video games, I bet they'd like SimCity. As for when it became my favorite animal? Sometime around 5th or 6th grade, when I took a field trip with my middle school to the Boston Museum of Science and saw the Beavers IMAX film.

Im a fan of flightless birds in general, but my favourite is the Kiwi as i've had a plushie of the thing since i was a kid, although even the plushies have the survival abilities of the real thing, im on my fifth re-incarnation of "Kiwi" arn't i just so original with names?

Also a close second is the Rhea, because their known to walk into walls...i should really stop loving Flightless birds that could be wiped off the face of the earth if mother nature so much as hiccups..except penguins, their the Hardcore Flightless bird.
how dare you, i like flightless bird like penguins and kiwis BUT im terrified of emus and ostriches

Mmmm, i see what you mean, and is it just me, or do they all just look permemently pissed off? they obviously remember the ways of their great ancestor Gastornis.

I could weaponize them!, Ostrich cavalry!.

an ostrich cavalry would be the scariest thing ever, especially if the jockeys were dwarfs dressed as garden gnomes

Penguins

Why?
Because seriously, they are the closest things to humans in terms of sociality.
Plus they are so goddamn cute.

When

After I realized that they were so much cuter than small fuzzy rodents at the age of 8.

"In the red corner... Challenging the spot of Anchupom's favourite animal.. Iiiiiit's the wallaby!

Defending it's postition, in the blue corner... It's the reigning champion! Holding the title after 10 years of challenges, please welcome.... The frog!

*Round one!*
Well, it looks like frog has started with his usual tactic of jumping toward the opponent and trying to lick their eyes, I wonder how wallaby is going to react to - OH DEAR GOD! THE WALLABY HAS MAULED THE FROG! IT'S EATEN IT'S BACK! THE HORROR!
I guess, because the wallaby is the only one alive, the frog loses the... What's this? The wallaby has just died due to frog's poison?!

Well seeing as neither is alive, I guess this means it concludes as a draw. Wallaby steak tonight, anyone?"

Joking aside, those are my two favourite animals. The frog has been my favourite animal since I was 6, ever since I found one in my back garden.
Wallabies have been an interest of mine since I fed them last year, when I went on holiday to Australia. Just awesome.

The other 3 of my top 5 are:
3rd: Gekkos
4th: Owls
5th: Lionfish

The whale shark is my favourite. It's a humongous shark, but it just floats there letting food come to it!
