If I had to choose I think it would be Urfaust, a Dutch black metal band with an incredibly unorthodox style. Funny thing is that they sing and write their songs in German, making them even more unique. Golden Earring also kicks major ass.

Easily the most interesting metal band in the states.
Love the themes, love the lyrics, all set to a Maiden/Lizzy background with Mike Scalzi, a genius of a lyricist/guitar player/professor etching away stories into the sonic blackboard with his magnificent voice.

Losing this band would make me genuinely depressed.
