Favorite band/music and why?

Metallica, because the of the kick ass combination of their heavy riffs and powerful vocals.

Metallica because of the similarities I have with James's childhood, the great headbang songs, the point of view towards life that I adopted, and of course - CLIFF BURTON, everybody say "Hi Cliff! How you doing!".

I like a lot of classic rock/metal, but also some alternative. I've also taken a serious liking to Bullet for My Valentine lately.

EDIT: I also like bands like Van Halen and Queens of the Stone Age.

At this moment I'd say Tom Waits (not a band, but whatever) because of his constantly changing style. There's always a song I'll enjoy no matter what mood I'm in. Overall, I guess the Gorillaz since I've never stopped loving them and they haven't made a single song that I dislike.

Venetian Snares - insane time signatures, ability to jump from breakcore to rave to acid to classical to noise, his real name is Aaron Funk, music causes seziures (probably)

Public Enemy - Political hip hop with a really strong message backed up by some of the best beats in the business.

The Velvet Underground - I can't even explain why I like them so much, I just get a special feeling whenever I listen to their music.

Probably the Search Engine genre. Primarily the band "Overdone Thread Topic."

But you know, that's just me.

I like the band "Don't Say Anything When You've Got Nothing Worthwhile To Add To the Thread".

They've got some pretty heavy riffs, powerful vocals, best percussion in the metal genre ever, and yet they still retain melodic songs.

Definitely my favorite band ever.

The Devil Wears Prada - There is not one song of theres i dislike, Something about them just makes me want to listen non stop.

Kanye West - IMO what he is doing is totally diffrent from everyone else who creates the same genre of music, he is constantly pushing the boundries of what can be done and his music videos are never dissapointing

Bloc Party - Something about them just makes me shiver, although there are a few songs i dislike there are some that will bring a smile no my face no matter what and although there latest album was completely diffrent from the previous albums they managed to pull it off.
