I fucking love Lightning Bolt, they're the punkest fucking band of all time.
Song structure? Fuck that. Guitars? Fuck them! Playing a song the same way twice? Fuck that too! Masks that look like underwear? Fuck yes!

I figure The Dillinger Escape Plan comes under 'too obvious stuff' (if not, check them out. Immense.), so Rolo Tomassi are pretty excellent.
They're one of the few really good mathcore bands with a really unique style, you can hear the Dillinger influence along with a bit more jazz and indie. The newest album is a bit less mental for the sake of being mental and a lot darker-
Gotta be one of the best albums I've ever heard.

Skip to 8:15 in this recording. Tell me that doesn't make you want to go "WHY WOULD ANYONE PERFORM THAT?" That's bizarro music to me.
It's funny how in 'ye olden days' that was extremely avant-garde. But when I turn it on now all I think is "Oh, another horror movie soundtrack. *shrug*" How time's have changed eh?

JoJo's soundtracks are bloody amazing, one of the few anime who can get away (hell, they can rock it) with using dubstep.

Also, speaking of Slam Jam flavors, you should check out BotanicSage. He has a ton of awesome Slam Jam remixes. Like, so many, I swear to God. I mean just check this shit out:

These days he's moved away from the Slam Jam remixes, instead making masterworks like:

God I want to link so many more of these. BotanicSage's remixes are bizarre in how bloody stupid they are but still work so gloriously well. And when he isn't shitposting hilarious shit like that he uploads smooth shit like this one [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV5jJrv2kjY] or this one [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q81T3o32x7s] or badass shit like this. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6ZfUlkF624]

Okay one last, Triple-Q's "Why the fuck is this a thing?" Skrillex meets orchestrated Kirby OST:

I'm laughing so hard at that I swear to God.

Whenever I someone talk about bizarre music, I instantly think of this:

<youtube=HF_bKm8vXq8>

Maybe not the strangest thing in this thread, but it always fills me with a weird sense of happy/sad melancholia that I can't really put my finger on.

Also, the song still sounds strangely coherent when played backwards. And no, don't ask me why I sometimes play songs backwards.

So, I was listening to music on youtube (as I am want to do), and I came upon this jaw-dropping wonder:
Ohohohoh! You have stumbled upon Whourkr, one of several French bands that blend genres together into a chaotic swirl. If you haven't heard Igorrr (who was the driving force behind Whourkr), I suggest these:

His solo stuff isn't as "extreme" as Whourkr, but it's more diverse. Which is saying a lot because Whourkr is all over the place yet still oddly cohesive.

Another project of his, though this is more like quirky baroque music.

A band that has collaborated with Igorrr/Whourkr, imagine if Whourkr were doom metal and it'd be a good indication of this sound.

Last, but not least... this.

Oh my fucking god! Another Future of the Left fan! I thought it was just me and my parents!
Yep, we exist. Mostly among those who like noise rock, but still.

Will definitely need to check those out. I really enjoy Whourkr's unique breakbeat/electrogrind combo, so I am interested to hear what else those responsible have done.

Other than that, I feel like some people can relate to this song in particular:

early black dice (right after their first two eps, and right before "creature comforts") had some really awesome stuff dealing with feedback manipulation and percussion.

kill me tomorrow was a pretty good one, as well. i had the pleasure of seeing them live when i was a kid. i even bought a copy of the book one of the band members wrote.

Considering the Music I listen to, a lot of it can be considered "Bizarre". However, this right here is definitely the most bizarre music, of the bizarre music, that I listen to.

It's also the only Residents' Album I really like, cause a lot of their stuff is rather dark or nasty sounding.

I also really enjoy Månegarm. I don't think I would classify them as weird or bizarre but their style and sound are kind of...not set? Like with Lunatic Gods, Månegarm are a metal band (Swedish, not Slovakian) who also use folk instruments from time to time. They have some really awesome, really heavy songs but they also have slower acoustic songs that would probably make your next Skyrim playthrough that much more amazing. Here, I'll try and demonstrate my point through music...

Over 30 minutes long but it's well worth the listen as well as worth the watch.

So good, I listen to it at work.
