Favorite Black Ops Map?

Personally I think they are all fantastic, except Firing Range (Because there are just too many spots for people to shoot from. Too hectic, even for CoD).

But above all, WMD rocks for me.
I'm good on it, and it has an amazingly done mix of long, mid and close range combat areas.
I got a SPAS-12 and got a 31:15 on it.

Nuketown.

It's so easy to just lay down in your spawn, play dead and pick off campers as they walk into your spawn.

It's especially fun with Warlord Pro. Jump-throwing frags into the enemy spawn never gets old.

I'm a fan of radiation and crisis. They are a sniper's heaven with long sight lines everywhere. WMD is also fun.

Edit: Nuketown is fun but it does get old racking up so many kills without much effort.

Nuketown.

It would be for me if it wasn't for the fucked up spawning that the map is capable of.

My next favorite is Launch. It's a nice setting and the map feels rather balanced.

I like Radiation and Cracked. And Grid. And Nuketown.

All maps cater to many different playstlyes, bar sniping. And I hate sniping, so it's perfect.

Jungle, Array, Havana, and Cracked, Sometimes Nuketown.

Jungle and Array are quite good sniping maps, along with Havana if the enemy's are idiots.

Mostly I don't think the maps are great. They're too cluttered, and most of them share MW2s problem of having too many lines of approach. Unlike say Cod4, where you fight end to end, along the flanks etc, it's just spread randomly(though the spawns probably highlight this, if they fix that, it might be better).

A lot of them don't have much variety in terms of range either. I don't snipe often, but that doesn't mean I don't think it should be an option. Though the lack of idle sway probably adds to this.

My favourites are probably summit, havana and villa.

My least favourites are probably launch, jungle and radiation.

I don't really mind Nuketown as a map, but dislike how often it gets voted for.

Nuketown, hands down. It's fast paced, and I just love it.
Firing Range is my second favorite. Nice and active.

It still irritating that COD4 has the best map layout. When you play on strike, there is usually a distinct line in which the 2 teams are fighting. The new games are just an orgy which leads to terrible spawning.

Firing range is quite good fun. Cracked is pretty good too!

Nuketown... meh. On a good day it's fun, on a bad day it's frustrating and overly hectic. And I always feel bad when my obligatory spawn 'nade gets a double kill. Which happens far more often than it should...

Though I hate the spawn system. My stealthy flanking missions frequently turn into a full-blown frontal assault when my entire team spawns on my position whilst I'm being sneaky.

Agreed, even though strike is probably my least favourite map on cod4.

The new maps are all too sprawling and cluttered.

Not only that, but because they are bigger, you don't even find as many people, and the numerous approaches makes things a bit more arbitrary. It's not flawless(snipers and m16 could have done with a nerf), but there hasn't been a better one yet, imo, and the maps are a huge part of that. Pity that every time I play now everyone else is a quickscoper...

I haven't played on all of the maps but my favorite so far is Cracked, though I don't really like much of the maps I've played because most have a cluttered feel. There's no distinct front, just random soldiers thrown around the map and some RC-XD cars.

Nuketown is a fun map to play, and I believe it is the smallest map on the game as well.
