I love Axis and Allies. The only thing I dislike is how long it takes to setup the board.

axis and allies is always fun. If you feel like jumping into the nerd kingdom straight away, then D&D.

Didn't they make axis and allies into a pc game?

Anyway, as the man said, Dnd is good if you can get a bunch of people. Otherwise, try the War on Terror, which is pretty funny and a cross between monopoly and risk (although the rules are a bit hard to understand).

Risk: 2210 AD is, without a doubt, the best iteration of the game. It adds a whole different dimension of strategy to the basic game. Easily the best time I've had with a board game.
