Favorite character in a fighting game

I used to love fighting games. Namely Mortal Kombat and Tekken. I don't play them much now but just wanted to know what your favorite character is in a fighting game and why.

I'm personally a fan of King from the Tekken Series. He has the best throw moves in the games (imo) and I didn't mind dying to them because they looked so cool.

I know it isn't a regular fighting game, and I know I'll probably get bashed for this, but my favorite is Ike from Super Smash Bros Brawl. He's really strong, and I could imagine how ashamed people must be for losing to a guy who taunts you with "I fight with my friends" XD

He's lame and awesome at the same time. I love it!

My favorite? Impossible to choose just one!
In Tekken, Wang Jinrei (the inscrutable old master types rule) and Jack.
In the Street Fighter games, Hugo from Third Strike. He looks like the love child of Howard Stern and Frankenstein and yet he still kicks all sorts of ass.
Felicia from Darkstalkers. Hubba hubba...
I'm not a huge fan of the SNK games. But Vanessa is one of the best boxers ever in a fighting game and Geese Howard is a great evil boss.
In Soul Calibur, Astaroth is just brutal. But I've taken a shine just recently to Tira. The hula hoop weapon and her manic personality have grown on me.
Rounding out my list of favorites is Slayer from Guilty Gear. Sure he's a Shocking Alberto knock-off , but he does it with tons of style.

Asuka Kazama from Tekken 5 onwards.Her fighting style is pretty fast, straightforward and aggressive, which is good because you just don't have time to screw around in fighting games anyway.

My favourite fighting game character is probably Kilik from Soul Calibur because he is so cheap and I like his staff (don't even think about it!).

I'd just like to add that my favourite female fighting character is Ivy from Soul Calibur. Purely because of her fighting style....yes, that's it, fighting style. Not boobs. Oh no.

and that's about it, I don't play fighting games a lot, none of my friends are fans of the genre. Well, apart from SSBM, that's an exception.
