The Hound is undeniably awesome.
Jaime Lannister is probably my favourite for his backstory and all the conflicts of interest that you see in his story.
Cersei also, because she's such a scheming *****.

Jamie Lannister, and Tyrion. Both are very complicated people, actually almost every character in that book is complicated.

Tyrion Lannister- The little bastards a clever one. I also like Eddard Stark because of his generally good cheer and level head.

T-T yeah he is. Sandor is freakin awesome.

I'd have to name Tyrion, Jaime, and Syrio Forel as my top three favs.

There's a TON of side characters that are just way too awesome.

JON SNOW MUST DIE: HE IS THE WORST CHARACTER EVER.
Samwise Gamgee, I mean Samwise Tarly is the second worst, also must die.

That said, I gotta go Syrio Forel (when the fuck do we get to find out what happened to him), second - Jaime, (who really went from despicable to lovable in one book without doing all that much to earn it), and third lets go with Davos (who is so perfectly human).
Fourth and fifth (I know, Im pushing it) Beric (I loved that he was a pretty lousy swordsman but couldn't be killed) and Arya (always has the best chapters).
No wait, Littlefinger (and his scheming), Mance (the anarcho-syndicist)... fuck too many.

It's a real shame
that so many of the greatest characters keep dying off: Eddard, Rob, Robert Baratheon, Luwin, Oberyn, Sandor, Beric Dondarrion, etc And what the fuck was he thinking making Arya blind! Also Im worried that the series is gonna go to shit.

Tyrion because he can always put a smile on my face with his comments, and Jon just because I really liked him as the bastard outcast in the first book and continue to like him.

Tyrion, the Hound, Eddard Stark, and Bronn are all my favorites.

I hate Cercei and Joffery. Actually, the Lannisters in general.

Jaime, probably because of the incredible amount of character growth he undergoes. That last chapter with him in book 4 where he cleans up the shitshow of the siege was just great, and really showed you how far he had come.

Tyrion is also cool. His character design basically spits in the face of all the tall, badass, ruggedly handsome, perfect-at-everything main characters that tend to plague the fantasy genre. I feel like Samwell also does this well, though his, "I'm a coward," schtick is getting kinda old.

Least favourite... Cersei, for one. Seriously, can we just kill this ***** and get on with our lives? I also found Bran's story to be horribly boring. I've completely lost track of exactly why he's doing what he's doing, and I don't see how it's going to relate to anything else in the rest of the plot.

Three way tie.

Jon Snow. I can relate to him more than the other characters and he's quite the badass. One of the few characters who goes through genuine, heart-wrenching pain. I hope he doesn't die in "A Dance with Dragons"...

I would love to see a Jon Snow VS Jaime Lannister fight scene. It would be incredible. Best swordsman with only a single hand, fighting the Lord Commander and his direwolf. It would be an epic battle...but knowing Martin he'd probably end up killing Ghost, which would significantly suck in my book.

My other two...are Theon Greyjoy and Arya Stark. The pain and suffering they go through are understandable.
