Super-duper-crunchy Granola Bars.

And Flamin' Hot Cheetos if I can scavenge any, which I usually don't. ;___;

Pancakes. A nice stack of pancakes. I love pancakes when I can afford kobe beef every night. I can spend 8 bucks and get 12 meals. It is like Ramen (which is number 2 on the list) but more flavorful.

Ramen can be accented with a variety of inexpensive foodstuffs to expand the variety of nutrient value of one's diet. The simplest that I enjoy involved cooking the noodles, draining the water, adding a can of tuna and seasoning to taste. The meal certainly sticks wtih you and depending upon the brand of tuna, can cost less than a dollar.

Recession food? Isn't that just student food then?

Super noodle sandwiches ftw
This is either EXTREMELY insane, or EXTREMELY genius.

And hot dogs are very cheap and delicious.

I understand that ramen and various noodles are popular among my fellow Escapists.

My survival food of choice is the old fashioned Strawberry Studel, not Pop-Tart, but an actual fruit filled strudel.
