For me it's a tie between Dylan Moran and Dylan Moran. You may think why list him twice? because he's awesome that's why!

Brian Regan. His expressions and his dilivery are priceless. Jim Gaffigan would be a close 2nd.

George Carlin for sure. He was the best. I suppose Mitch Hedberg might be a close second.

I've got a five way tie between Dylan Moran, Stephen Fry, Billy Connolley, Bill Bailey and John Cleese (he was my favourite of the Pythons)

I'm going to assume there was no search here.
Haha yes I have already commented on a thread about this but it can sometimes be good to revisit, especially with comedians.

My favourites include Akmal Saleh, Umbilical Brothers, Noel Fielding, Wil Anderson (he's such a bloke's bloke), Kitty Flanagan, and Lenny Henry.

But my most favourite comedian of all time is Ross Noble. I have been to see his live shows 3 times and NEED to see him again. He's genius.

I also like Bill Bailey and Tim Minchin.
And how could I forget them? And Dylan Moran.

I have a fondness for comedy it seems.

Michael Mittermeier, hands down.

It's not surprising that you don't know him if you're not from Germany, he's a Bavarian stand-up comic.

RICKY GERVAIS! One of the cleverest comedians alive and also one of the very few celebrities that would never sell out. For the same reasons I also like:

EDIT: Stephen Merchant obviously
Billy Connoly
Bill Mahr
Bill Hicks (lots of Bills eh?)
Eddie Izzard
Yea i like him too but he would totally sell out. Well he kinda did already selling "the office" to the usa. Oh and all the other comedians are awesome too. You have good taste.
Selling the office to the USA isn't really selling out, since he created it and he didn't do it for the money. I consider selling out to be when you peddle another persons product for money.

The thing I like most about Gervais is that he never does anything purely for the money. He was really reluctant to star in his tv shows but had to when no one could fit his characters better than he could.

Narrowing it down to one or two people is pretty hard. I suppose Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Carr. But there's a lot more.

Frankie Boyle
Jimmy Carr
Sean Lock
Russell Howard
Dara O' Briain
Ed Byrne
Alan Davies
Jack Dee
Lee Mack
Reginald D. Hunter
Paul Merton
Frank Skinner
Dude, I saw Frankie Boyle live in Sheffield. He is a total asshole, he tore into a kid (who couldn't have been older than 14) about how his parents were divorced and how his step dad 'shagged his mum', no one laughed. I don't think he was trying to be mean but saying that to a kid just for a few laughs? Fuck him.

Chris Farley (RIP) preferably with his partner David Spade

Tommy Boy (the movie) is godlike.
