Ooh, I always forget about the Far Side.

I quite enjoy Three Word Phrase. It's often short, quite silly, and often childish. This is why it's excellent.

I used to read the comics in the newspapers as a kid, and I really don't remember most of them fondly save for a couple like Peanuts and Foxtrot.

Nowadays I occasionally check out some web comics. Cyanide and Happiness, Dorkly, and Critical Miss are usually the ones I try to keep up with.

Calvin and Hobbes, obviously, is the golden standard for classic comic strips.

For webcomics I enjoy Cyanide and Happiness a fair bit, but my favorite has to be the consistently excellent Perry Bible Fellowship. Surprised I haven't seen it mentioned yet in this thread.
