In keeping with trying to provide maximum positive (I hope) exposure to DDO so that people unfamiliar to it can get an idea I introduce this next step in my DDO threads.

For me, I think I like Delera's best of all. It is a well reasoned, well plotted storyline. It is narrated by Gary Gygax, and it has one of my all time favorite end rewards in Voice of the Master.

For those that don't know, The Delera's quest chain takes place in one of the graveyards in DDO. Delara was once one of the great champions of good. Her spirit is currently on a rampage and you as adventurers have to go into the crypt complex that houses her remains to discover what the problem is, solve it and put her soul back to peaceful rest.

Not sure if this is positive exposure or not but
i love "The Pit". That quest is great. I just wish
it had a more functional map (same goes for tempest spine)

Madstone Crater

Has the great outdoor feeling of being on "epic adventure"
can complete in various ways, no way is a wrong way tho some are used more frequently
still a challenge for level appropriate groups

Easily the Von series for me. It hits right around that time you start to really get a sense that you can achieve really heroic things, and then to come face to face with A Red dragon in all her glory for the first time...Truly the bigest "goosebump" moment I ever got out of the game. The setting for the final battle with Velah is absolutly Epic!

The Crucible for my rogue. I love all the traps and mazes.

Reaver for my cleric. I want my charge in every quest.

Stormcleave for my ranger. The terrain allows for alot of bow time.

STK for my lowbies. I just think the underground fortress are beautifully drawn and it has the traps, the needed dps, and casters can actually do something at low levels.

Vale for the explorer areas. Just beautiful and I love using the terrain there as well to solo range for kills.

I'll half agree with you. I LOVE the Von series, EXCEPT part 6. Part 6, especially compart with the Red, really disappointed me.
Really? You didnt get that rush when you first saw the dragon take flight as you were crossing the bridge? Anyway, for a mid level quest series, IMO, the best!

Oh I agree, it was impressive to see.

But then I heard the "running the base" and "cleric disconnects" tactics. And then I participated in the actual combat and saw that this "red dragon" was little more than a fire trap. My D&D combat with dragons of her age was always epic. She should be flying around, using crush attacks, spells, adjusting tactics depending on the tide of battle, she should be challenging and deadly. The battle is mostly a yawn :(
Ok in that I can agree! Had she stayed in the air we all know we'd stand no chance!

Me, personally, never was a hack and slasher from PnP. I valued having to use the mind, to find new ways to do something, work with party members, and deceive monsters to obtain goals. So when people are in group with me and they ask me to suggest quest, my list doesn't consist of the "loot runs" or all raids; instead people get subjected to Coalescence Chamber, The Pit, Twilight Forge, Shroud, and Prove Your Worth.

Over all, STK. That was the quest that took me from a trial account to a full on member. Jumping down giant mushrooms into the dark unknown with no feather fall item. The excitement at finding the Hobgoblin village. It had a over tone of the old school paper quest against the Demon Queen.

I like sleeping dust lie, trying to not kill things is fun. The pit is also fun, mostly to listen to my boys groan when I say we need to run it.

Having my highest leveled character at level 4, I have to say Misery's peak this far (seeing as I haven't explored Stormreach or other areas full out).
Sorry if I'm necroing a thoroughly dead thread btw.
