The Dark Tower: Wizard and Glass -
The scene where Roland accidentally kills his own mother...wow. What a stunning tragedy at the end of a great novel.

Kill Bill part 2:
The Elle Driver fight, assuming they don't make a third movie, was brutal in the fact that Uma pulled out her eye and left her to die there alone with a snake in the middle of the desert.

The Godfather:
Sonny's death scene at the toll booth.

Say what you want about Revenge of the Sith, but Dooku's and Windu's death scenes were done so well.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade:

Drinking from the wrong grail fucks you up, badly

Carpenter's The Thing:
Almost all the deaths are awesome.

Nibelungenlied:
Siegfried's death is really epic, almost the definition of a heroic death

I quite like the Dark Tower one, but

Where Jake dies to Save Stephen King from the road accident was far more clever, having his own fictional character save his real world life. That's just gold.

You know what's crazy? I've had...

Nearly every damn characters death scene spoiled for me through the bastard that is google search and some damn idiot thinking it was acceptable to WRITE THEM ALL NEXT TO EACH OTHER...but oh well, they are still good. Before the Battle of Algul Siento right now..

That just sucks, I was lucky in that nothing was spoiled for me so everything was fresh and amazing. Please tell me what you think of the ending as well. It's... well you'll see.

Pretty much all the deaths in the last half hour of "Space Runaway Ideon: Be Invoked"

Keep in mind that most of these are MAIN CHARACTERS who you've been following for an entire 30+ Episode TV series. It's pretty shocking.

I liked the scene in Wanted where Angelina Jolie shows the entire world how to PROPERLY committ a murder/suicide; by using bullet curve!

Good job Angelina, now if only you would replace those actors with hollywood stars such as Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson, etc., then I would officially committ myself to Angelinajoliology

Hmm. Hard to choose.

I'd say that Half Life 2: Episode 2

Eli getting his spinejuices sucked out... or whatever those things do to people.

From Anime:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1TOhuIPudY

Last 30 seconds are epic. And to be honest - this is the first time I've seen the uncensored version of Frezer getting cut in half by his own discs... Oh, and two first deaths are cool too.

Fingolfin's death scene in the Silmarillion.
He goes up against Morgoth, severely wounds him by going toe-to-toe with him for god know show long and dies because he stumbles on a crater. As Morgoth then proceeds to desecrate FIngolfin's remains, the King of Eagles comes and flies away with it. Oh, and those injuries Morgoth suffered would never recover.

I'm gonna go with Ulysses in the Odyssey when he finally gets home. He's been gone for years and is exhausted and just wants to go home. What does he find? A bunch of assholes who are trying to sleep with his wife and have eaten all his crops. So he disguises himself as a beggar, studies all of them while they beat on him, and then tricks them into having a banquet where they leave their armor and weapons outside. Then he gets the family war bow, arms himself to the teeth, and locks them all in the room.

With him.
