He goes up against Morgoth, severely wounds him by going toe-to-toe with him for god know show long and dies because he stumbles on a crater. As Morgoth then proceeds to desecrate FIngolfin's remains, the King of Eagles comes and flies away with it. Oh, and those injuries Morgoth suffered would never recover.

A bunch of assholes who are trying to sleep with his wife and have eaten all his crops. So he disguises himself as a beggar, studies all of them while they beat on him, and then tricks them into having a banquet where they leave their armor and weapons outside. Then he gets the family war bow, arms himself to the teeth, and locks them all in the room.
