Answer the question.

[small]"I can't sir."[/small]

And why not?

[small]"'Cos my mother told me never to trust people with beards, sir."[/small]

Cookie for the reference.

But anyways, apart from random non sequiturs, what is your favorite Discworld novel?

Since I am still going through the books, I don't have a definite answer yet, but I'm leaning towards Night Watch. What do you like the best?

three way tie; mort, men at arms and going postal.

the reaper centric ones tend to be my favorite, like reaper man and the hogfather. he's such a cool character!

I haven't read many of them, but I'd say going postal is my favorite; though Men at Arms had some quotes I like, too.

I'm actually reading Men-At-Arms at the moment. I love how Carrot keeps screwing people over with Laws. Also, Detritus in the meat locker.

I love the Discworld novels, some of my favourite books. But my favourite one of all would have to be... Damn, this is difficult. Probably Going Postal. Or Making Money. Or Feet of Clay. Please don't make me choose...

I definitely can't choose a single favourite. My favourite group of Discworld novels, though, would be the City Watch books. Sam Vimes is by far my favourite character, and you learn a lot about the city, the races of the disc, and human nature (even when the nature in question is actually Dwarven or Trollish) in those books. The other guards are well-written and interesting too, but not so much as Vimes.

I just finished Night Watch, and it's by far my favorite. Some brilliant satire on socialism and revolution, and my god, Sam Vimes is such a badass.

Interesting Times, I recall, was also really good. Been a while since I read it though.

I like the Witches series...mostly due to Granny Weatherwax. And the Death ones are brilliant. I can't choose a single one. They're all special when you read them. I tried to pin a specific one some time back and started reading them all again because of it.

Hogfather followed by Thud! If I was allowed to have Good Omens as an option it would definetly be my number one. Favorite book evar.

Wow, this is a hard one. I'd say it's a three-way tie between Night Watch, Hogfather and Reaper Man.

Why are these also some of the most depressing ones?

What, no Monstrous Regiment yet? I'd say some kind of tie between that and Night Watch, with maybe an older one thrown in (like Guards! Guards! or Equal Rites.) Basically anything with Vimes or Granny Weatherwax or crossdressing is fine by me. :D

I'm half tempted to say Thud! simply because I actually have a copy of Where's My Cow that I read to my daughter :/

But I think I really have to say Pyramids, and I think i may be in a very small minority there.

Tough question sirs. Fortunately I can answer. I'd say my favorite group of books are the watch ones. My single favorite though is Monstrous Regiment.

A few more...
2. Night Watch
3. Masquerade
