So recently, I had a younger cousin come over to my house and I had to baby-sit him for a while. Because he was so young and my VCR player still worked, I popped in some random Disney movie for him and he loved it. So, slowly over the past 3 days, I have been watching a ton of Disney movies. So, what is you guys' favorite Disney movie? Mine is a tie between Aladdin and Hercules.

Probably Up and other recent Disney/Pixar ventures. I missed most of the old style animation ones since I didn't have ready access to a cinema or video growing up. I think the only one I saw during my childhood was the Lion King and possibly Bambi.

Watching, or talking about, old style "Disney Princess" movies pretty much results in both me and my wife spending ten minutes making incredibly inappropriate comments anyway, so probably best to not watch them >.>

Of the kids Disney movies? Probably Mulan. Mushu's my favorite of all the wacky animal sidekicks by far.

I think I'll say that mine is the Lion King, with Beauty and the Beast being a close second. The Lion King is a beautiful movie, gorgeously animated, fantastic music and a great "growing up" story. I grew up with Disney movies, but those two, especially the former have a special place in my heart. I watched Beauty and the Beast about half a year ago and it still holds up. I still like it, so I wouldn't say that nostalgia has blinded me.

Excluding Pixar, it would be Aladdin and the Lion King. Those films had great humour, action, characters, special effects and songs. Also for the Lion King case a tragic scene.

Hunchback of Notre dame

far from perfect..but its dark and edgy for a disney movie..makes you sad they never really broke out of the mold they were trapped in

The Lion King. How many times have I watched that as kid? At the tragic scene I always used to hide under the couch. How nostalgic...

It's tough this, it's between the Sword in the stone or Up. Both are equally fantastic.

The Lion King, no question about it. The visuals are stunning, the voice cast is excellent, the character are fun while Jeremy Irons is deliciously hammy as Scar and the story is pretty engaging.

That is a difficult one to decide, but I think I will jump on the bandwagon and say The Lion King. There is so much they did right such as the casting, the music and the visuals for example

Everyones going ot pick a pixar, movie.

I have a tie between Ratatouille and the Toy Story Franchise. Ironically enough they are tied with How to Train Your Dragon on my greatest movies of all time list.

If pixar is secretly not allowed here then I pick the tie between "The Lion King" and "Lilo and Stitch"

Kudos does go to:

Tarzan
Hunchback of Notre Dame

Curve ball time; Mary Poppins. I just turn into a glee filled 6 year old every time I see that. Julie Andrews + Dick Van Dyke = Magic.

In saying that, Aladdin and Lion King are two of my favourites, both are funny, great VAs and beautiful just to look at.
As for Pixar movies, Toy Story(s) and Up and are also in my Top 10. One of the few movies to make me cry like a baby. for Up, I had a tissue in my hand from start to finish, and the last half hour of Toy Story 3, was painful, but brilliantly so (partly because I am/was the exact age as Andy and going through the same experiences as him).

Honourable mention; The Fox and The Hound. that's the movie that got me enamoured with animals. When I eventually get a couple of dogs, I'm so naming them Todd and Copper.

I don't have a favorite Disney movie. I have a favorite Pixar movie though. That movie is Up. For whatever reason I don't think any Disney movie holds up to what my nostalgia makes them be. I want to stress they are still good movies.

A tie between Hunchback of the Notre Dam and The Lion King. Hunchback of the Notre Dam's strongest pont is that it's dark, while The Lion King's strong points are the sad moments.

Pirates Of The Caribbean is my favourite film and it's Disney so, yeah, that.
If you mean just animated then Hercules. Definitely Hercules.
And my favourite Pixar film is Up.

Disney: Aladdin hands down.

Pixar: This one is a bit trickier. It's a toss up between Toy Story 2 and The Incredibles.
