The mighty Mutt!

You nevre quite know what you'r egoing to get but it almost always comes out healthier and mentalyl better adjusted than a pure bred.

Although Wolves are great, you don't see many kept as pets (obviously) but the few you do are always brilliant.

I can tell you what's not my favorite breed of dog: Pomeranian [http://www.officialpomeranianguide.com/About_The_Pomeranian/Pomeranian_Temperament.php]. Sure, they're cute and smart and loyal (as any good dog would be) but they have an independent streak which makes them untrainable to all but dedicated dog trainers. After the family dogs passed away after nearly 20 years, I couldn't help but feel relief I wasn't going to be stepping on dog crap anymore. Currently, we've got neutered cats, whose natural litter-box inclinations assure I won't have to relive that nightmare again.

Either Labradors or Shetland Sheep Dogs, because those are the two breeds I've owned. Unfortunately, the latter is known to have liver problems and I've had two die of that.

Of course, them being mixed breed is good if you're not interested in dog shows, hybrid vigor and all.

I like my West Highland Terrier. A good dog but has a weakness to bark at bug trucks and chase squirrels.

Rottweilers for their strong loyalty, Cattledogs for their intelligence and friendliness, Dingoes for their cunning and German Shepards because they can be cute.

My one, since he doesn't have a breed. That, or has has every breed in the book. He's a mix of all the pedigrees, making him some sort of Uber Pedigree. :]

English Mastiff, 'cause they're HUGE and I can be as rough as I want when we play fight.

They make good guard dogs too.

this is just my kinda thread. I love dogs. My favorite are labradors because not only are they kind, patient, and can stay puppies for a decent decade, they also stay cute

My dog, who is a chihuahua Jack Russel mix

She's basically a terrier sized chihuahua with a terrier personality
full bred chihuahuas are just nasty

But I've always wanted a Bernese Mountain Dog
