ok so somewhat inspired about that thread about goblins i have decided to make a thread about your favorite enemies to kill, starting of course with my answer.

roman legionaries, i dont even know why, maybe i secretly want to be obelix but i love killing roman legionaires, it is probably something about their hats.

so your favorite to slaughter?.

Grunts (Halo).

I really don't know why, they're like a punching bag. They're easy to kill, come in (relatively) large groups and they're annoying so killing them means not hearing squeaky stupid voices.

Midgets from Borderlands, cause they explode with a well-placed headshot.

Dragons. Nothing says "Hero" quite like taking on a giant fire-breathing dragon with only a sword.

Lot of love for hapless goons in this thread. I'm going to have to go with the Hunters from Halo. Bungie knows how to make a mini-boss work in an FPS. It's a dance of rushing them, attacking, and dodging before being crushed.

"No more games, time to die!"

Of all the enemies I have killed in my gaming career I always find going up against super mutants to be fun as hell. Even though the strategy is "tank your bullets and taunt you" its still fun.

The Big Daddies in teh first Bioshock. They actually made me nervous in a way most other videogame characters can't.

I've killed many enemies in my time, but smashing through hoards of Orks with a Thunder Hammer and jetpack is far more fun than it should be

I know it's a boss fight but fuck yo rules.

Innocents in GTA4. If you don't have the intelligence to keep your mouth shut around a heavily armed immigrant riding in the bloodied car of satan, you kind of deserve what happens.

Teemo in LoL. Any game where there's a Teemo on the other team I will be far too happy whenever he dies. I also don't mind if he dies on our team either

Those wheel skeleton things in Dark Souls. My god, so much bullshit! They so much as graze you you die. They have a sort of an infinite combo and it really hurts... Still fun though

Grannies. All of them. They make sandbox games fun. Nothing quite stirs enjoyment in my system like casually launching them into the sky with a low rider.

Oh, and the mascots from Saints Row 3. Every time I see one on the streets it's almost an impulse to pull out the "Penetrator" and deliver blunt justice.

Elites in Halo, especially the Zealots that charge you with energy swords. Breaking their shields and popped them with a headshot, the animation as they stagger backward before falling to the ground is extremely satisfying. It's mainly because the Elites are tough bastards and it's satisfying to outmatch them.

Typically it's an enemy that has given me a hard time in one way or another. Like in Arkham City, during a combat challenge, when this asshole chucks a fire extinguisher at me. I counter it but it bursts, sending the Titan into a panicked state that smacks me because I wasn't prepared for it. So I ensure that the thug loses consciousness in the most agonizing manner possible.

There's also killing dudes in games who have strong beliefs, and yet believe that justifies doing something COMPLETELY cruel and illogical, like Cerberus in ME3; killing civilians, attempting to screw over other races (like Thessia), thinking that they're advancing humanity. Yes, I know they were indoctrinated, but it would have made more sense if they were saying something more along the lines of "We're doing this because the Reapers promise us human-advancing tech" or something like that.

The goblin army from Terraria. If I need test participants for my moat of spikes the goblins are my go-to people.
