I'll always like this scene from KH2. The moment we leave emo Roxas and his sadsack story behind and the game starts proper with Sora, Donald and Goofy ready to kick back into action the good old fashioned, uppity way.

Even before the release of ME3, when it teased this event happening all I could think of is how awesome the concept is. It's like Japanese Bug Fights only scaled up several hundred meters, in space and, featuring a cyberneticly enhanced beetle or whatever the Hell bugs they based Reapers off of.
The scene where you get to punch out one of those dairy brothers in Episode 2 of Walking Dead. I was so appalled at EVERYTHING that happened in the episode, and being able to punch him until I didn't want to anymore was one of the best feelings I've had in a videogame.

Come on, getting a kill by kiting people around your tower is just giggles. Cross map Ezreal snipes also have a special place in my heart :3
Not many single player examples because i've literally been playing nothin' but LoL and UMVC3, i'll just say the end of Persona 4 and leave it at that.
Speaking of UMVC3, 1v3 comebacks alllll day.feels so gud gurllll I literally can't play Mahvel well unless it's a sick comeback, it's just not possible.

The bit in Far Cry 3, in the heli bit towards the end, when you blow up a boat and Jason screams at the top of his voice "I SUNK YOUR BATTLESHIP!!!" and, also from FC3, every single scene with Sam Becker who is, without a doubt, the best German American ever... Of all time... Ever.

My time with Sam was great but killing Hoyt was probably the highlight, most likely because he was the bastard who did Sam in.
The characters in Far Cry III were all amazing, even Jason?s character arc. Interacting with every one was a different kind of experience.
OP mentioned Mass Effect 2, so I'll throw in mine as the Suicide mission, and the ending in general.
Finishing Mass Effect 2 was awesome, from the initial charge to the base, to the desperate retreat with Harbinger monologuing in the background.
Best experience of 2012 for me.

that bit near the end of far cry 3 when youre escaping in the chopper whilst flight of the valkyries plays and you spit down death from a 50 cal machine gun onto Hoyts private army. I loved the apocolypse now reference, and the music absolutely nailed the mood from me
