I got 2.
Firstly- Final Fantasy VIII. When Squall smiles in the closing video. (I know it's not really aloud as it's an end game, but Squall smiling with Rinoa. Fantastic.)

Real first one- UFO Enemy Unknown/ X-Com UFO Defence. When you shoot down your first large UFO. It finally starts to feel like you can win the sodding game.

Second one- Dark Omen, the dialogue where Morgan Bernhardt realises he's turned from a mercenary to a patriot who is prepared to make a suicidal last stand for the empire. It takes a fairly bland generic character and makes your efforts in the game feel like they gave him a dimension, as well as saving the world.

The final level of max payne 3. Just running through the airport section with dual pistols with 'Tears' playing in the background and bullet timing everything to death. It's hard to explain without playing the level, but everything just kinda clicks into place at that point

Also (SPOILERS FOR FAR CRY 3) the ink monster boss battle. Truly one of the most unexpected boss battles I've ever played in a game, since up until that point you had just been killing pirates and animals. It was like someone decided to insert a devil may cry monster into a FPS.

Some people need to learn to use spoiler tags. ;)

OT - Most of the Mass Effect moments already mentioned, plus this one.

The actual part I'm talking about starts at 1:46 onward to the end. Just...ah, it's so good. So, so good.

It's the music that does it, I think. Grant Kirkhope is a god.

I'll always like this scene from KH2. The moment we leave emo Roxas and his sadsack story behind and the game starts proper with Sora, Donald and Goofy ready to kick back into action the good old fashioned, uppity way.

Except that scene is genuinely saddening, what with Roxas' plight being understandable and all.
I know Roxas is a popular woobie but I never fell for him. After playing the original KH and Chain of Memories in a row, I felt way more empathy for Sora and the gang than whoever this dude was. But that's, like, my opinion, man.

I don't share your opinion, but I respect it nevertheless.
I'm one of those KH fans who wants more Roxas action.

My favorite feel good moments are at the end of Final Fantasy IX when
It's revealed that Zidane isn't dead and Garnet rushes down to meet him. That scene is brilliant, especially the music.

The other is at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 when
Sora and Riku arrive back at Destiny Island and Donald, Goofy and Micky run up to hug them. Again, the music makes it even better.

Easily taking every chance to make fun of Bastila whenever she asked you questions in KOTOR, some of the dialogue options were brilliant.

Where I betray everyone in KOTOR and order Mission's wookie friend to kill her. Nothing puts a smile on my face like pure, unadulterated evil.

Pretty much every moment in KOTOR is a feel good moment.

Apart from fighting Bendak Starkiller maybe...

The end of Journey. It's just complete 100% concentrated awesome. Seriously it lays on so heavy at the end and it feels so sombre. Then just all of a sudden its just complete bliss. So good to have a great game end on a high note.

Seeing some the old characters from Mass effect 1 and 2 in ME3. And also every time Clementine smiled in The Walking Dead, it was strange but made me feel good every time.

-When I finally finished Far Cry 2... I have such hate for that game yet I still love it
-The preiviously mentioned Grunt moment in ME3 and the Garrus on atop the Citadel. Only parts of the game I liked.
-The ending cutscene Sly 3 when Bently realises that Sly is just faking amnesia... Ahh I loved that series.

Can it be a non-cutscene moment? Cos every second of Just Causee 2 would fit it.

The bit in Far Cry 3, in the heli bit towards the end, when you blow up a boat and Jason screams at the top of his voice "I SUNK YOUR BATTLESHIP!!!" and, also from FC3, every single scene with Sam Becker who is, without a doubt, the best German American ever... Of all time... Ever.
i laughed so much when Sam goes "BLITZKRIEG" and then storming into the camp full of enemies ^^ all the characters in that game is amusing and awesome :)
I agree wholeheartedly, Sam was amazing.

My time with Sam was great but killing Hoyt was probably the highlight, most likely because he was the bastard who did Sam in.

The characters in Far Cry III were all amazing, even Jason?s character arc. Interacting with every one was a different kind of experience.
Spoilers mate, I didn't know he died. (Not hoyt)

Damn it.

Ok I'll go with another scene from Final Fantasy IX.
The corridor sequence when the song "You are not alone" starts to play and you get to see clearly what Zidane means to everyone.
They hold him strong in his time of need just as he has for everyone else and it makes for a beautiful scene.
The music just sells the scene and it conveys all the emotion of the characters perfectly.

That's my favorite scene in the game, probably my favorite scene in anything. If this had been a thread about what the most emotional scene was then I'd have posted it. I've never thought of it as a feel good scene because it really brings up a mix of emotions in me, whereas the ending of FFIX I mentioend before was just pure happiness.
