~Favorite Fighting Game Characters~

Almost everyone has played a fighting game sometime during their time gaming, and most of the time, you find a character that fights your playstyle, or you just might like their background or look.

So, what are your favorite characters in fighting games?? (You can choose and character from any fighting game, be it Guilty Gear, Tekken, Street Fighter, Smash Bros., etc. and feel free to talk about the character or show everyone a pic)

I'll start off with my 3:

Sakura from Street Fighter series

Not quite a shoto clone, but different enough to require some new strategies, I just have fun playing as her, given her overall enthusiasm and energy.

Ike from SSB:Brawl

I enjoy just his overall brute strength, and it's a blast knocking people flying with just A+Smash moves.

Nvrnqsr Chaos from the Melty Blood(/Tsukihime) series

His demeanor, his ability to juggle well, and just his all around many different ways he can attack. It's just so much fun playing as this guy xD

I have a few favorites... from every fighting game I own...

BlazBlue: Bang Shishigami for sure. He may not be top-tier but he is fun and irradiates awesome.

Super Smash Bros.: My favorite character has always been Mario, but I loved to play DK and Samus in Melee also. I play a lot of different characters in Brawl.

Street Fighter: I'd have to say I am a Cammie player.

Mortal Kombat: Raiden and Reptile all the way.

Soul Caliber: I love me some Mitsurugi. Not only is he a badass samurai, but he is such a fun character to play.

Dragon Ball Z fighters (yeah I know): Piccolo is my homeboy. (Yamcha too... depending on which game it is)

Turtles Tournament Fighter(SNES): Donatello and Shredder ftw.

Yoshimitsu from Tekken. Some kind of crazy ninja-samurai-cyborg hybrid who changes his look from game to game, from a mysterious masked man, to a neon iron man thing. Oh, and he has a robotic hand he can spin, and use his sword as a helicopter. Oh yeah!

Street Fighter: I've always loved Charlie Nash

Mortal Kombat: Kano, Smoke and Kabal

Soul Caliber: Cervantes

DOA 3: Ryu Hayabusa (love his Izuna Drop)

SSB Brawl: Wario (mainly because I'm very good with him)

Soul Calibur 4: Secret Apprentice aka Starkiller (Because hes got the force and can shoot lightning)

Mortal Kombat Decp : Scorpion (hes an undead ninja!)

Marvel vs Capcom 2: Venom (because hes my favorite marvel villian)

Tasi... that anime company vs Capcom: Tekkaman blade (hes quick and pretty strong, plus his specials are awesome)

Honestly, I adored Zafina, from Tekken 6. She has a weaksauce story, no doubt, but her general fighting style is amazing. The resemblance to a snake is pretty much 1:1, from the way she has her hands held up, from her overly curious attacks.

I generally suck at fighting games, but I do like some of the characters.

Pit (Smash Bros. Brawl)
Pit is my one exception to sucking at fighting games (besides maybe Ganondorf in Melee). I particularly love breaking a Smash Ball from across the screen with an arrow and summoning my horde of killer angel-bees. And his weapon is awesome - two swords, a bow AND a shield all in one?

Xion (Bloody Roar)
He looks awesome and is easy to use. 'Nuff said.

Talim (Soul Calibur)
1. She's "cuter than a basketful of kittens eating marshmallows."
2. I can actually sort of fight with her sometimes.
3. Dress her up properly and she makes me think a bit of Nausicaa.

Eddie (Guilty Gear)
Guilty Gear is a prime example of a fighting game which I think is awesome but at which I am absolutely terrible. Still, when I play, I usually play as Eddie, a shadow parasite inhabiting the body of his now-dead host, the blind assassin Zato-1. He's got some sweet-looking moves, can fly a little, and like most Guilty Gear characters he just looks cool. But I actually have to give my favorite character design award to:

Venom (Guilty Gear)
While I don't use Venom as often as Eddie, I like his character design more, mostly for his mask - he's got this white full-face mask, which is actually his own hair. How does he do that? Venom has a sort of quiet, deadly elegance, and while the story makes it pretty clear that he's homosexual, he's not camp or over-the-top about it - he's all business, and that business is killing you.

I've always been a big fan of Kabal from Mortal Kombat. He's so badass, just look at his mask.
