My favorite is New Thread vs Search Forums.

Usually noobs jump straight in and buttonmash with New Thread, and get owned by pros using Search Forums.

Also, Virtua Fighter. By far the best 3D fighter I have played. I haven't messed much with 2D.

The Super Smash Bros. series is my favorite, not just because I can play as my favorite Nintendo characters, but also because of its accessibility. It's easy to get into, but there's a surprising amount of depth to the characters and their moves. Brawl is my favorite out of the series so far. I doubt I could go back to Melee now that I'm so used to all the nuances in Brawl.

Tekken but I have played others to back my reasons

Ive played SSBM and Brawl, they are fun, no doubt in my mind for the sheer reason of beating the crap of anyone you please.
7.5/10

Street Fighter 4 is not for me. I've even played 2 but I've never completed 2. Never could beat Bison he's so cheap and you could never change the differculty to an easier one. Oh Im not blaming bad controls either I can perform the Hadoken, uppercut I cannot spell, spinning kick I cannot spell, Sonic Boom, Flash Kick, Tiger Shot (high and low), Tiger Uppercut, Pshyco Crusher, Spinning Bird Kick and just about anything else in the game even most if not all ultra combos even Akuma's/Gouki's.
5/10

I've never played Soul Edge or the first Soul Calibur. Soul Calibur 2 was great as was 3 but 4 something was missing besides the storyline. I also prefer realistic combat. What I mean is that giant swords that make people dizzy when you defeat them isnt good really to be honest. However Seigfried's repeated stomp attack performed by pressing down and kick and repeating the kick button is bloody hillarious especially to the defeated person's head, it's a great stress relief.
8.5/10

Now Tekken. I've played and own all of the Tekkens even TTT expect these; Tekken Advance, which is 3 basically, Tekken Card Challenge which wasnt released in the UK or US, Tekken 5 DR I've played on PS3 but don't own and Death By Degrees which doesn't count as it doesnt have the word Tekken on it :p and Tekken 6, which of course hasn't been released for home consoles yet. Before you quote my realistic part in the paragraph above, it's more realistic than SF4 by FAR. Okay so the devil gene isn't in real life and your abnormally strong and Tekken is now mixing this with an Egyptian God now. What IS realistic is the martial arts (in most cases.) Jin the main protagoinist turned antagoinist style of fighting is traditional karate. Bruce Irvin is kickboxing not Muay Thai, there is a differnece. The story isn't captivating I'll admit but it's better than SCIV's one by a mile.
9.5/10

If I offeneded you SF fans I'm sorry I just expressed my experince with the game

It's definitely Tekken. Now, I love Street Fighter, and I like Guilty Gear and Soul Calibur just fine, but Tekken is what I grew up with. It's the game my dad played with my brother, and then my brother with me. It represents a rather pleasant part of my childhood, though I was quite the cheap button masher until Tekken 5 came along, when I started learning how to play the game and eventually became god-like with Yoshimitsu. Plus, it's just wicked fun.

Any bonus points Brawl might have gotten get removed for some of the most horrible rubberband AI in any nintendo game, the extreme cheapness of bots(outside of rubberband ai problems) and the lack of any real change in AI since SSBM.
What are you talking about? The AI is much more fair. I can beat level nine's on that, but on SSBM I have no chance. They never give me a chance to fight back, and just keep beating the crap out of you. That's completely unfair.

Streetfighter. Its the only fighting game i've ever truly enjoyed. The only fighting game I was ever good at/practiced at. Don't know how good but I beat alot of older kids in the arcades. I suck now though. It gave me alot of happy gaming moments.

My favorite fighting game series would be the KoF series, though individually, my favorite fighting game of all time would be SSBM. Brilliant fucking game, it can be played on a ridiculous amount of levels.

No, the graphic are quite better. It may not seem that because they only detailed things that needed to be detailed, and most things didn't. The gameplay is pretty much the same, just Brawl has more game types. Stamina (a personal favorite), mini, spicy, metal, etc. And you can mix them. That's much more than Melee had. So yes, Brawl is better.
Sorry, I don't want to sound like a dick, but the gameplay actually differs a lot between the two games. Melee was tight, fast and precise. Brawl is floaty, slow, and ridiculously nerfed. There's a good reason they stopped playing Brawl in tournaments, and went back to Melee. Brawl might be more fun for casual players, but on a competitive level the game is a failure compared to its predecessor.

It's not a matter of it being unfair, you just need more practice.

Tekken, because it has a BOXING JAGUAR. You cannot top a boxing jaguar.
