Favourite game: Championship Manager 03-04
Reason: It's the most addictive game I've ever played. Really immersive - and a lesson that a game doesn't need graphics to draw you in.

Least favourite: Astro Boy (PS2)
Reason: Bad controls, bad camera, dull gameplay, short length. Rubbish.
Should have played GBA Astro Boy game.

Omega Factor was BRILLIANT.
I have heard similar tales. It's definitely one I'll keep an eye out for.

It managed to break my Top 5 games of all time.

It's a fantastic 2D action game by Treasure. Even if it's $30, it's worth it. And rather long, too. Took me forever to 100%.

Don't go above that, though.

My favorite game would have to be... Halo Reach.
I know, super original, but being able to adjust the classes in multiplayer... Heck, being able to change verything is fucking awesome.
My least favorite is...Chronicles of Riddick, Assault on Dark Athena...
I just don't get the game... it's bland, boring, and completely unbalanced.

Gaming Discussion...

Fav - Pokemon SoulSilver. Took Silver, and updated it. Awesome stuff.

Least - Beyblade (PS1). No control over your top. No point in playing.

My Favorite Game is a tough one to think about, considering I haven't played as many as most people, but as far as my current favorite:

Well, I guess it has to be Chrono Trigger. The more I think about it, the Quantum Leap/Back to the Future/Sliders aspect of the ability to travel through time is always amazing to me, and what makes it amazing beyond most games isn't the ingenuity of the class levels, or the worlds (which, even in its SNES Graphics are beautiful), or even the characters or the various endings, it's that it's story spans over various centuries, and everyone of them tells a story.

Yes, I love Metal Gear Solid, but Chrono Trigger is ingenious in its delivery, it's less difficult to follow, and its beautiful.

2nd Best: Earthworm Jim
3rd Best: Earthbound
Honorable Mention: Metal Gear Solid 3.

As for Least Favorite:

This is kind of a difficult one, but my least favorite game of all time (so far) is:

Celebrity Deathmatch. It's the only time I've ever played a game that was cursed. A friend of mine loaned it to me, I played it one rainy evening, my stomach started killing me. The game sucked, I felt like I was being stabbed in the gut, and Nothing I did made me feel better. Hours after the game was shut off, I couldn't sleep without being in pain. Found out the next day (about 15 hours later) that I had an ulcer (at 13). Today, it is a cursed game, and I never show much sympathy to it anymore.

2nd Worst: Enter The Matrix
3rd Worst: Spice World (Yes, Shut up).
Honorable Mention: Jersey Devil (For the Playstation 1. Look it up, it's just...just awful)

Favorite: Resident Evil 4. My first M rated game and was also the first game that ever actually took me an an adventure. It was, and still is, pretty much the perfect game. There's something for everyone in it.

Hated: I don't really know... I would say Indigo Prophecy or Dark Void, but I liked the ideas behind those games so much that I can't really hate it. They were more like... failed experiments and I can't really hate it for that. I guess... Prey. I found it to be completely and totally junk. I never actually beat it, though, so I can't really judge. It was just... awful. Nothing about it was really fun and after I got to the third broken bridge in a row I just stopped playing. There was one puzzle that was always solved by going into spirit walk and walking across a seemingly impassable gap and it just kept throwing that one stupid puzzle at me that I just stopped finding it to be fun. The only good parts were the opening sequence and the location.

Hated game - Banjo Kazooie; Nuts & Bolts

I adored the original N64 title, and even downloaded it from XBLA for a nostalgia hit. But buying this, even for a bargain fiver, had none of the gameplay I enjoyed. Except for collecting notes. I played for all of 10 minutes and the thought "What the dick am I supposed to be doing?!" never left my mind.
This. The first 2 are some of my favorite games from childhood.

I downloaded the demo and it was like someone raped my childhood.

Bad games are one thing. But to take a game that in loved as a kid. No, 2 games. And to ruin it is unacceptable.

favorite: battlefield 1942, the game gives you so a gun, some explosives, a knife, and vehicles, and allows you to do what ever you want with them in a multiplayer experience. You could jump out of your plane, shoot down another plane with a rocke launcher, and then get back into your plane.

least favorite: I really dont know, since most of the games i buy like and play completely, but my guess would probably be metroid prime. I just get bored after an hour of playing that game. I have probably played the beginning sequence over the past 7 years over 30 times. It is just a game i can not get into.

Favorite: Call of Duty 2- an absolutely perfect combination of linear and free shooting gameplay. Best multiplayer ever.

Least Favorite: (flame shield go!) Call of Duty 4- Ruined everything I loved about the Call of Duty series and gaming as a whole.

My favorite game ever because it represents what games are ALL about, pure fucking fun, no down time, just explosions and boom, on steroids.

My worst game ever because it is not only the 2nd most disapointing thing ever, but it also intends to insult my childhood icon while bringing on terrible gameplay, voice acting that will make you want to tear your ears out, and possibly the worst cut-scenes ever made (Except for the intro which was kinda cool)

Favorite game: Rome: Total War. The most pure fun I've ever had with a game, and even after putting oh, I don't know, a couple thousand hours into it total I still listen to the battle speeches. It's not often that a strategy game has atmosphere but Rome delivers it in spades. The pinnacle of the Total War series.

Also receiving votes - Alpha Centauri, Fallout 3, Tropico.

Least favorite game: I've played a fair few stinkers in my day but the most frustrating "this game should've been good, why does it suck?!" game was Spore. Either there was a shit ton of executive meddling involved or the game just plain wasn't that good at any point in development, but five shitty knockoffs strung together does not an epic game make.

Also receiving votes - Neverwinter Nights, The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic (why yes, I do have a thing against BioWare's Aurora Engine, how'd you know?)

Best: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, I love the gameplay, I love the story, I love the music, I love the characters. Even with better stories and gameplay now this game will forever hold a special place in my heart as the game that got me into RPGs.

Worst: Too Human, I really can't explain this one very well so go watch Yahtzee's review of it.

Tied for Worst: The Matrix: Path of Neo, what can I say about this game besides the fact that it's glitchy, repetitive, pointless, and over all not fun? How about the fact that if you haven't watched all of the movies the story will make absolutely no sense? Oh yeah, and the Merovingian's voice goes to a new level of annoying in this game as he Mwahahas at you over an intercom for three or four levels straight.

Favorite: Super Smash Bros Brawl. I have always loved having a bunch of characters from different games come together and having battle.

Least: Spore. It was alright but it just ended in disappointment.

Favorite: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
I had to think for a while, but this game holds the most memories, and can still hold up well even today. (But trust me, there are dozens of other games I could call my favorite)
Why: A combat system that I feel is better than most modern turn-based RPGs/JRPGs, ok graphics for an SNES game, an... ok set of events (at least by Mario standards), EPIC music, great locations, memorable bosses (My top 3: Culex, King Kalamari and the Axem Rangers), and just overall FUN.

Worst: Shadow the Hedgehog (I've made my hatred for this game very clear on this site...)
I know 06 was worse, but you know what? I didn't play that game. What makes it worse is that it that I KNOW there are good 3D Sonic games, so this game at least had a chance.
Why: Lackluster story, even by Sonic standard, pointless guns, malfunctioning homing attacks, annoying missions, annoying characters, 5 bosses used over and over again in a branching "story", 3 of which are the endbosses in 10 endings (I think it was 10...), bugs and glitches. The music ranged from ok to great, but music can't save a game...

Favorite: Devil May Cry

This is the game that saw my transformation from "kid complaining about a cheating computer" to "game enthusiast." Not only is it essentially the creator of the stylish action subgenre, it is also the game that introduced us to one of the most fantastic characters in video game history: Dante. This game was filled to the brim with sheer awesome, from the sound design to the art direction to the unparalleled gameplay. Was it perfect? Fuck no. It was, however, exceptional, and one of the most influential games of the past decade. I love this game so much.

Hated: No More Heroes

I think I may hate another game more than this, but this is the most hated game that comes to mind at the moment. It was so insanely dull and unfunny that I could not force myself to play it after the five hour mark. Boring-as-hell combat, flat visuals, an unimpressive soundtrack, and terrible trying-too-hard writing make this an abominable experience for me.

Favourite Conkers Bad Fur Day because i've never seen such awesome violence against teddies.
Worst Boderlands for building up how awesome the vault is throughout the game and then shitting on you when you reach it.

Favorite: Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. It was one of the first games I ever played, and in terms of character design, level design, graphics, gameplay, and story, I thought it was a pretty amazing game compared to other games I played.

Most hated game: Sonic 06. That game was the equivalent of a long time friend kicking you in the balls and spitting on you while you're down. I loved the 3D Sonic games up to this one. It had glitches up the ass, the story was abominable, and I hated a lot of the characters in there. Possibly the only good thing that came from that game was this song:

Favourite - MGS4 because it is the perfect combination of everything I loved from the first 3 along with the greatest video game story ever.

Most Hated - Silent Hill Homecoming....it just made a mockery of the entire series.
These two rank for me, but probably aren't best and worst. Well actually, MGS4 was pretty damn good. It may tie with Snake Eater though, which had a really strong stealth element that MGS4 just lacked.

So, after some deliberation, my most favourite's either Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2, or Zelda Majora's mask. RDR's got a really amazing story plus an amazing world. ME2 just has the greatest writing ever, as a golden pool above still solid gameplay. Majora's Mask just has an intriguing and slightly creepy world, with great dungeons.

Most Hated has got to be Sonic Adventure Battle 2 or whatever, just because of how amazingly terrible, bland and unfun it was. Nothing simpler than that.
