That would be a tie between Shadow of the Colossus and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee for me. I may like Shadow of the Colossus just a little bit more though.

It just ticks all the right boxes for me.
I honestly couldn't think of a better statement myself.

Kingdom Hearts 2. Great Story, great gameplay, unique idea. All put together for one amazing game.

I don't think I have a favorite game ever anymore. A couple of years back it WAS Kingdom Hearts. Man, I knew/know that game like the palm of my hand.
Now...oh who am I kidding? It still IS my favorite :D

Bioshock. Hands down. It perfectly mixed Story and Gameplay. The story is engaging and really good. Not to mention it has the greatest opening and Video Game twist ever! You'll want to play it again even after you beat it. There's so much to do in the game. Not to mention you can't forget the first time you entered Rapture, or the first time you fought a Big Daddy.

If Saints Row the Third is as awesome as I hope it is, then that. For now though, I'll go for Fallout: New Vegas.

I could never choose just one, so instead I'll put my favorite series:
.. Damn, can't choose that either.
Uh... I guess it would be a 3-way tie between Theif, Hitman and The Elder Scrolls series'.

Hard to say, but I'd probably have to go with good ol'

I've played through the Baldur's Gate series from beginning to end, counting the first game and the expansions, at least three or four times now which doesn't sound all that impressive till you consider the 100+ hours one of those playthrough takes, and that's not even counting the numerous half-way campaign and games where I only played one or the other of the series.

Yet despite having played the game so often I continue to find new things in it, new scenario, new items, new dialogue. Not to mention the modding community which to this day continues to produce amazing new content and improve upon the games solid foundation.

Just such a solid experience, I don't think I'll probably ever play another rpg quite like it. Pity!

Hmmm. Probably Mass Effect 2, because it's such a massive, amazing game. Maybe Kingdom Herarts, for the amazing gameplay and engaging story. Another strong contender is Age of Mythology. Many good memories with that. I also spent a LONG time playing War for Cybertron.

GAH. Cannot decide.

Cliche as it is, my favorite game ever is Final Fantasy VII. I spent over 120 hours on it, got all the secret stuff (Mastered Knights of the Round, awww yeah), and still love the story and characters almost fifteen years later.

Runner-up has to be Odin Sphere. It's cute 2.5D with a great story and beautiful design choices.

Twilight Pincess. I loved that game, and I don't understand why it has so much hate. It's beautiful, it's characters are likable (MIDNA!) it has a good story, and it's fun.

I must say Okami. It was actually really hard to decide between that or Zelda: Majora's Mask, but in the end I picked Okami. There's no feeling in the world quite like being a god, all powerful over your surroundings, able to stop time and blow shit up and run around on the surface of the ocean, and all the while greenery springs from your every step. The characters are all somewhat annoying and rather campy and one dimensional, but they're supposed to be like that, everyone seems kinda stupid and childish if you're an immortal, all powerful being.

The most major thing they do right is balancing out the whole god thing. There are a lot of god games, but the problem with that is if you have too much power, the game's no fun (scribblenauts, minecraft with hacks, etc). Okami is different because it's still really difficult, especially doing the extra content like stray beads and things. They put a lot into making you feel like a god, without actually giving you any more real power over anything than you would have in, say a Zelda game.

I think that's another reason I like this game so much. It plays just like Zelda, which is awesome, except it takes out all the tired bits like saving the princess and all that bullshit, and replaces them with references to Shinto, which is also something I have a lot of interest in.
