So please, share your favorite game from each major Genre and discuss.
Mine would have to be..

RPG: Morrowind
FPS: Half Life 2
JRPG: FF 8
Horror: Silent Hill 3
RTS: LOTR BFME 2
Racing: F-Zero GX
Puzzle: Braid
Adventure: The Longest Journey
Simulator: Mount and Blade (It's kind of a Medieval Simulator)

Simulator: Falcon 3.0

There are too many FPS's with too little to differentiate them, I don't feel strongly on this one. I'm not a fan of JRPG's, at least not ones released on the PS/Dreamcast-era or better tech. I'm not a huge puzzle gamer. ADOM is a rogue-like. Falcon 3.0 is probably the last 'simulator' I've played.

Since I can't really think of any simulator or adventure games, I'm guessing any that any I have played didn't capture me enough to remember ever playing them. Either that or they were so bad I've blocked the memory...

(Mount & Blade and Mount & Blade: Warband are a medieval fighting simulators, a RPGs and sandbox games. It's bloody amazing).

It's certainly part puzzle game. I'd argue it's a lot more puzzle than FPS.
