How Th Hell Do You Embed?

Hmm, First I'll go for Fallout New Vegas. That is just soo awesome: 'War, War never changes...'

TES: IV Oblivion. The ending was totally epic with it's slow orbit of the Imperial City before zooming on where you languish at the Emperors pleasure (her majesty's pleasure; geddit? NvM.)

Finally, CoD 2; It combines epic gameplay clips with cinematic sections and amazing music (IMHO [jk, jk])

For me, there is no competing with Red Alert 2

You WIN! I wanna marry you for reminding me about that Beast of an opening. man, i saw that intro so many times, i could at, one point, recite all of the lines from memory.

Monkey Island 2.
Bioshock.
The Fable 3 opening looked pretty awesome from what I saw.

Final Fantasy XII. The pre-menu attract scene has absolutely gorgeous music, and the opening cutscene is very well done.
Lost Odyssey. Tons of action, very pretty, and really sets up the big mystery of the game with Kaim's immortality.
Deus Ex. More for its complete lack of an opening. It doesn't bother to introduce anything at all, but there are so many tiny details (the headless statue of liberty, the completely unacknowledged robot) that contribute so much more to the setting than a monologue would.
Street Fighter II The music never fails to pump me up.
I dont know why, but to me it seems that intros have gotten worse on average with the exception of certain games, maybe I'm just jaded?

I have to agree with Lost odyssey though, that is just an epic intro...

Age of Wonders

Don't know why but I've always loved this opening, seems to summarize the entire storyline. Warcraft III orc opening.

At the moment, this is one of my favorite game introductions. The power, the feeling that all kinds of nasty shit is about to go down once the video is over really gets you in the mood to kill some zombies. The music about halfway through doesn't hurt, either.

Really, I actually want to go kill some zombies right now. "This used to be a NICE NEIGHBORHOOD!!"

Wild arms 3
liked the music and the intro altered according to how far you had gotten in the game at least 4 times i think.

Easy:

Apocalypse Now + Aliens + Red Dawn + Starship Troopers = The most awesome intro in gaming history.

As well as:

Meanwhile that, my friends, is pure style you just witnessed. Not only being fun to watch, the Thief intro just sets the mood and style for the rest of the game to come as well as giving a little glimpse into the backstory and even a little foreshadowing. You just don't see style like that anymore!

Although serious props go to Bioware for the Mass Effect 2 'intro sequence'. I was careful to avoid any spoilers before the game was released and had just finished a run through of the original Mass Effect beforehand, so the intro to Mass Effect 2 was... amazing, to say the least! I was in all honesty blown away and left speechless by those first few opening minutes. Damned impressive!

This one. I really like the song and the anime artwork
I was more of a fan of the Japanese version of that song, though that was still a good one. The song just seemed to flow better.
