Favorite Game Modification?

Mods are a great way to drastically extend the life of a game, but what is your personal favorite? It could be a tiny skin or audio mod or a full blown total conversion.

Mine would have to be Lord of the Rings: Total War for Alexander. Totally overhauls the game to Middle Earth, a fantastic campaign with all the heroes from the films, the ring as a scripted event, the fellowship etc, and all the custom cities are close to completion, every faction is also a blast to play, from the better known ones like Gondor and Rohan to the Dwarves, Dale, Goblins, Free Peoples and Easterlings.

I'd say the huge overhaul mod for Fallout 2. It restored content and made the game actually playable.

Eternal Damnation for Postal 2 was bloody awesome. I also love 20th Century Weapons for Fallout 3, though I don't use it for New Vegas. Garry's Mod, however, takes the cake for me.

I forgot Eternal Damnation! Such an awesome mod, hard as hell at times though.

The Restored Content Mod for KotOR 2 for making a great, if unfinished game into the complete and fantastic game it was supposed to be.

Minerva: Metastasis. The best level design outside Valve I've ever seen. It was so good in fact, that the guy behind the mod was hired by Valve subsequently to releasing the mod.

Forgotten Hope for BF42. It completely changed the gameplay of one of my favourite games of all time, with new skins, new maps and a lot more realistic gameplay. It was a lot of fun, when you got the grasp of it and learned to differentiate between that and vanilla BF42. Had some great times with both vanilla and the mod.

I could go on all day about Source mods I play.

One of my favorite complete overhaul games was Insurgency. Shame, however, that the developement team disbanded.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl: Complete 2009, for updating my favourite game.

Fallout 3 & New Vegas: A World of Pain, xCalibr & The Book of Earache, for adding loads of new content, proper ammo calibers and types and a ton of wholesome firearm-fun for the whole family.
