Favorite Game of this Console Generation

The Mass Effect Trilogy. If I have to pick one, I would go with the first one, with the second one coming oooooh so close. I still believe the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer was the best trailer for a game ever made.

Seconded on the Mass Effect trilogy, it's been my go-to for years when I just want to have some fun, I keep coming back.

Though my vote for best single game this generation is going to have to be The Walking Dead. I never thought that an a King's Quest style game would be able to take me on a journey like that.

Batman Arkham Asylum!! Perfect game! Love it!!

I was going to say Arkham City. That game is ridiculously good, but Assylum is also a good time.

If I had to pick one, it would be Dragon's Dogma. There's another game that could have dissapeared without recognition, but thankfully it's well known. They need to have a sequel or another game with similar mechanics. I like what this game opened up in the way of combat for RPGs. Kingdoms of Amalur also had fine combat, but the pacing wasn't as good.

I was torn between Asylum and City but Asylum made the biggest impact for me being the first.

Dragon age, mass effect series, the new tomb raider, hotline miami, far cry 3, walking dead. I love all these games, though u know i am forgetting some.

Not sure if we 're all supposed to choose one game, but if so, I can't do it, so many games I've loved during this gen. ^^ Dark souls, Team fortress 2,and the whole Mass Effect series, are games I enjoyed, and played over a extended period of time, and shall be games Ill greatly look back on.

Dead Rising is my favorite game of the gen.

And Halo is my favorite franchise of this gen and the last, though likely not the next given that Halo 4 was a turd.

EDITamn it. In retrospect I should have said my favorite game of the gen was "Steam Sale". Ah well. Missed opportunities.

This is an easy one for me. It can only be Nier. The best video game story of all time with marvelous characters, intense gameplay, layers upon layers of interactive storytelling, and that fucking soundtrack!
