Favorite Game "Races"

You know how fantasy games love coming up with ideas of different species of human intelligence? Each one with their own physiology, culture, and even fighting ability? There must be millions all across the entirety of gaming!
To the point, tell me which ones are your favorites and why. here are some of mine:
Ritos: The bird people of loz: wind waker. I love how they manage to pull off the mixture of human and bird and look so natural when flying!

Gorons: Another Zelda race, I find them strong, proud and incredibly unique, eating rocks and actually differentiating the taste of them. And being able to be a regular juggernaut by rolling in a ball...Awesome!

Yoshis: The race of dinos from Mario, they're adorable yet dangerous! Their teeth are not sharp, yet somehow they can scarf down more food than as t-rex! I've always had a thing for dinosaurs, and these ones spit fire, grow wings, turn into vehicles, and launch unfertilized eggs at their foes!What's not to love?

Chao: From Sonic the hedgehog. I just like how they maintain a child's mentality even through adulthood, the strange ones that come from breeding certain colors, and how they can copy animals that they touch!

Lagus: From Fire Emblem. I wish I could BE a laguz, especially the ones that turn into dragons! Screw Beorc weaponry, I wanna turn into a dragon, or at least a bird!

Lessee... I generally like Dwarves in most games they're in, like Warcraft, Dragon Age, etc.

I also usually like human beings in most games (for obvious reasons).

Don't usually like elves. The 'holier than thou' thing is really annoying, but even averting it is kind of becoming cliche. I did like the Dragon Age ones though.

Ah... I like Turians from Mass Effect.

Just about any sentient alien race from the Mass Effect games. Each one has their own distinct culture and beliefs that help distinguish itself from the other races.

Pretty much any of the major races from the Mass Effect games, they were really fleshed out and interesting.

Dwarves > all. They're always awesome in any incarnation, notably the Dragon Age series.

The Sangheili from Halo are my personal favorite.

And I'm also quite fond of Dragon Age's Dwarves. I don't know what it is, but I just enjoy those ones more than ones from other universes.

As for an actual race... probably going with the Vortigaunts from Half Life. What is up with those guys? I have no idea, but there pretty awesome!

I'm an elven player mostly, likely because I like to roleplay as something that is the exact opposite of me. Where:

Elves = Nimble, lithe, thin, charismatic, skilled, and nature-loving;

Me = Fat, dorky, short, broad, tech-headed, and fumbling.

In all seriousness: Zora from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

I don't play many games with other races besides humans.

Dwarves...the Chuck Norris-es of the fantasy world! How could I forget to put them on my list?

I really like the Quarians and the Turians from Mass Effect, as well as the Centaurs and Charr from Guild Wars, and good ole' fashioned elves.

But I have to say my favorite is either the Nezumi (better known as Burmecians) from FFIX, or the Guado from FFX.

I love my non-humans. >:3

EDIT: Oh, and I can't forget the Sanghelli. Those are made of epic.

You know... that one race from mass effect? Na never even tried the game.

ummm Protos from Starcraft and blood elves from world of warcraft. I like the attitude of blood elves, they are former holier than thou elves that went through a bunch of shit times and came out for the better with a new, more understanding attitude.
I like the tech from the Protos.

Also, I really like the super mutants from the Fallout series. The Fallout 1/2/New Vegas mutants, not the generic orc Fallout 3 mutants.

I prefer the Quarians over any other race in any game partly because they are sorta mysterious with the enviro-suit and also because the situation that they are in in Mass Effect, being forced from their world and looked down by most of the galactic community make them a very interesting race.
