The definition of a video game super power always baffles me. I'd never consider Max Payne's slow motion as a super power, just a game mechanic.
I think that's why the OP titled this "favorite gameplay super power". It's a game mechanic that feels like a super power even though it's not something the main character is doing.
As for me, I love Batman's grapnel boost in
Arkham City and
Arkham Origins. I know it's not a super power, but, damn it, I never get to talk about it. The way he does it so perfectly, it might as well be a super power.
I'm a sucker for games that give you some sort of phasing or teleporting power, especially if you're phasing/teleporting right through a wall or an enemy. Think
DmC: Devil May Cry's Angel Dodge and
Infamous's phasing via your element like smoke...I think (I've never played
Infamous, just seen clips). I just wish a game would make this the center mechanic and do something really interesting with it, especially something strategic, but I already complained about that in another thread. Somebody in that thread did bring up a Digipen game that makes it a big mechanic actually, but that's not the scope I was hoping for.
In general, the good
Star Wars games tend to be fun in the super power department. Crazy jumping or flying and general sandbox affiliated superpowers (the ability to just mess with the sandbox and NPCs usually, often through mods) are fun.
