I've only got two at the moment, and one of them is technically cheating, since it's the "directors cut"-version, but here goes:

Endless Legend [http://g2g.amplitude-studios.com/Games/Endless-Legend]

and

Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall. [http://harebrained-schemes.com/shadowrun/dragonfall/]

The former is a very nicely put together 4X Science-Fantasy game, something that I at least haven't seen a lot of. And the latter is a very well put together old-school RPG, and the Directors Cut has basically polished the game to a mirror shine.

Seriously, if you enjoyed Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale or similar games, then Dragonfall is essentially the modern sci-fantasy offspring of those games.

So far it's Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, and Super Smash Bros. 3DS. These are the only new games I've gotten so far this year. Though I can already add the Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remakes, and Smash Bros. U to the list.

Probably the only reason it's all Nintendo games is because I have a Wii U and 3DS, but no PS4, Vita, or Xbox One. Even though I haven't seen much on other systems to change that yet.

Dark Souls 2 and Smash Bros. The only two games that I had been looking forward to and fortunately they lived up to my expectations. I guess I'll throw in FFX/X-2 HD although I feel like picking remakes is a bit of a cheat.

I haven't actually bought many games that were released this year though. Some indies off Steam and a few 3DS games but none of them have really grabbed me.

I haven't played that many new games this year, as I've not had a job.

I got Wolfenstein: The New Order just last week and it's probably my GOTY as of now. I'm not such a huge fan of FPS normally, but holy shit this one is amazing.

Others on the list are The Wolf Among Us, Infamous Second Son, Child of Light and Theatrhythm Curtain Call.
I loved Final Fantasy X HD and The Last of Us Remastered too, but they're not exactly 2014 games.

I want Alien Isolation badly, and I expect it'll get on the list once I play it.

My favorite title of the year is easily The Wolf Among Us. I'd also list the following as other stand out titles...

- South Park: The Stick of Truth (close second)
- Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
- Super Smash Bros for 3DS
- Broken Age: Act 1
- Valiant Hearts: The Great War
- Kirby Triple Deluxe
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
- Teslagrad (Wii U)

However, I still have the following to get around to:
- The Banner Saga
- Super Time Force
- Metro Redux

Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
I know its cheating but I havent bought any games that came out this year so far, so ill just use the game that I only just got around to playing.

Also does Mount your Friends count? It either came out super early this year or very late last year. Either way im including it

South Park: The Game (love it so much)
how in the heck did I forget this...if I play a game more than once, it probably means it is DAMN GOOD (a.k.a. I enjoyed it alot), and it was very fun getting those other achievements (find jesus as a jew) and such on the second playthrough. I still hum the background music on occasion even.

LUFTRAUSERS set the new gold standard for shmups, and Transistor is a wonderful follow-up to Bastion. I haven't played any new games worth remembering other than those.

If we're giving awards to games that are continually updated, Urban Rivals is still a thing plus the new Riots clan this year is a pretty solid update in addition to the regular card releases.

EDIT: Oh also Race the Sun is about as perfect as games in the "head in one direction really fast until you die" sub-genre can get.

Wolfenstein the new order was freakin amazing with its dark storyline, variety in weapons, explorations and Jimi Hendrix rocking some tunes

Can I count AC4? Cos I fucking loved AC4, played a solid week and half of it.
Also InFamous: Second Son, I got the plat trophy for that, something I've never really steered towards before.
Uhh... other than that it was mainly Fallout: New Vegas but that doesn't really count I suppose.

On a related note, looks like I should start playing Wolfenstein, given that I have it and all...

Dark Souls 2 might take it if Far Cry 4 doesn't meet ex70pectations. Other than that, I don't think I've bought any other '14 games. I just put 70 hours into Skyrim and would have platinumed it had the Oblivion Walker trophy not glitched on me. Now it's time to crack open Eternal Eyes and Vampire Hunter D. I also have planned some Neo Geo PS2 Final Fight if I'm bored waiting for November 18th.

Sigh...being broke sucks.

The Wolf Among Us - love it more than the Walking Dead
South Park: Stick of Truth - An absolute hilarious romp
Infamous: Second Son - Played the hell out of it and it's DLC.
Wolfenstien: The New Order - Kick-ass Nazi killin fun
Watch_Dogs - Fun Stealth based open world game
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor - Pretty cool action game

If remakes count, Final Fantasy X.

If not, then I'm afraid I can't comment since that's the only 2014 game I've played to completion this year (heck, only completed 4 so far total).

Well the only ones I can even list are Valiant Hearts and the 360 edition of World of Tanks because any other games that I could possibly be on the list haven't come out yet.

South Park: The Stick of Truth - one of the funniest, sickest and imaginative games I've ever played!

Upon looking back I think Divinity might be the ONLY 2014 game I've played this year. At least off the top of my head.

WTH I game constantly. What am I even playing?
All of the things from all of the times.

Only 2014 game I've played is Bravely Default. That's just me though, I'm not about to claim a bad year because I didn't play anything from it.
