Assassin's Creed (AC was fun, but frustrating near end, AC2 rocked my stripey socks*, and AC:B has been a friggin' blast) and Uncharted (played them out of order, but I love the writing, acting, and gameplay) series...

the latest "castlevania" game didnt make me feel like i need to kill everyone who made it, but it did make me shake my head.

My top five are, in order:
1)Breath of Fire 1-4. (Dragon Quarter was rubbish.)
2)Star Ocean 1-3 (well, the first disk of SO3 at least)
3)Tales rpgs (Tales of Destiny 1 & 2 in particular)
4)Mass Effect (deeply flawed, I think, but they get much love for what they do right)
5)Castlevania up to and including Symphony of the Night
I still have a lot of love for some of the old NES classics, but none of them really fall into my top 5 favorites.
