I know many here enjoy graphic novels like "V for Vendetta" "Watchmen" and so on.

Which are your tops favorites?

I'm a fan of unconventional graphic novels like Joe Sacco's "Footnotes in Gaza" and Art Spielgelman's "Maus" books.
I even enjoy "Persopolis" by Marijane Satrapi.

Here's a link to well known graphic novels (Don't yell at me if they don' have your fav in here, it's just link to a list of typical/popular ones.

I like "Sin city", "Doktor Sleepless", "The walking Dead" and "Joker". The problem that I have with graphic novels is that they can be really expensive.

Well I'm about halfway through watchmen now in fact, and I'd say that's definitely my favourite already. I'm very much wishing I hadn't seen the movie so I wouldn't know what happens...

The Sandman series, definitely. (I count them as graphic novels, but if nobody else counts them, I'd go with DC's Kingdom Come or Books of Magic.)

Transmetropolitan
The Sandman
Kingdom Come.
Pride of Baghdad
Superman - Red Son
Batman - The Long Halloween
Preacher

Wont be winning the indie or underground award for taste, but I love them

They changed the ending, drastically, so you'll still be shocked.

Watchmen is pretty awesome, but I'd have to say Maus (Parts I and II) for my favorite. During a holocaust unit we had in school, I elected to read this instead of Anne Frank. Finally, a story of someone who survived the holocaust, not just sat in a room and complained for two years.

I've only read V for Vendetta and I liked it... I would read more, but I prefer to read books where I can imagine it for myself.

Some Batman one called "The long holiday" or something.
Only one I've got. Thought it was pretty good.

If you like Satrapi's work you'd love Chicken With Plums, it's by her.

Hmm, maybe "I Kill Giants" right now.
