Banana Bomb from any Worms game. Its a timed bomb. That can be thrown. But its a banana...

Those banana bombs were pretty damn cool alright.

My favourite has to be the grenades from Half Life 1. They had great range and power and were fantastic for bouncing around corners and flushing out targets.

Transfusion Grenades from Borderlands. You don't need to throw them anywhere near your opponent and it still does damage while healing you.

I also like the frag grenades from Gears of War 2. Swing them on a chain, see their trajectory when you aim. And if you are feeling really evil, stick them to yourself when you die.

Or possibly the plasma grenades from halo, because nothing is more satisfying than sticking a warthog for a tasty triple + flag/bomb guy kill.

The lazer mines in Nightfire were pretty cool: they stuck to walls and when someone passed by the beam they would explode. They were pretty cool to use in an enclosed space since you could booby trap a doorway with them to keep yourself safe.

My favorite by far are mini-nuke grenades in Fallout 3, followed up by black hole grenades. Bordorlands had those awesome teleporting longshot grenades.
