For nearly any game that has a finite, non-regenerating health system (and therefore, any game that poses an actual challenge-*COUGH COUGH AUGHOD MY THROAT*), there must in turn be some way in which that health is restored. A lot of times it's just a medical kit or a potion, but sometimes we get some more... unique healing items.
And thus, I ask you; which is your favorite healing item?

Personally, I have no other option but this:

The delicious roasted Nazi chicken dinners that litter the prison hallways in Wolfenstein 3D. By eating the chicken, bones, and plate, all in one enoromous P.O.W. bite, you regain 10 points of your precious health.

I have a fondness for the Stimpak and recently the food items in Dishonored as you go about consuming everything in your path. (What, just me?)

I recall during one neutral mission, walking into a guard station and eating an apple. To which the city guard yelled at me for.

Jellied eel sounds absolutely abominable.

OT: Herbs, man. Herbs. Nothing says "I'm desperate for healing and will try anything!" like munching on some random multicolored herbs.

Green Herb from Resident Evil is always a lark.
Rations from Metal Gear Solid were pretty awesome.
I know it doesn't count but electricity from inFamous.

The Soldiers Cauterise ability from Borderlands was fun to use, especially with rocket launchers.

Why has that never occur to me before? (I mean drinking potions would be like drinking liquid, we can only take in a fair amount.)

anyway I prefer the pizza health used in No More Heroes in the Turtle in Time game since I love eating pizza.

Healing wounds has never been this easy. You don't ingest it either, so you can't fill up on it! Super Potion is simply Super.

Although it's not an item, I liked staying at inns.
Who knew in the world of video games, a good night's sleep heals all wounds, including poison, burns, confusion, curses and even if you're near death.

First aid spray. I mean.. who could even argue? It's homeopathic, and it's a... spray. All the first aid-yness of a medkit, in the convenience of a spray. I mean, Sheva loved 'em so much, she'd use 'em literally every chance she got. They might even be addictive.

Thank you! I've been trying to remember which Tekken had that audio!

:)30 and onward)

Aside from that, I've always liked finding the green herbs in Resident Evil.

I really need to get myself a big glass bottle, print out a Lon Lon label and have the best milk ever.
