Mine is the Evil dead trilogy

The first one is a very good horror flick it relies on bloodshed and chills

The second is more like an action/horror flick and the scene when Ash has a Chainsaw attach to his arm is awesome

The third is more like a horror/comedy with slapstick humor and a lot of memorable quotes

So whats your favorite horror movie/s/series/trilogy?(include images or posters if you like)

Edit:Horror doesnt mean that it has to be scary actually they are a lot of sub-genres that arent scary but they are still horror like the slasher genre and they are genres that are more comedy than horror but they still are horror

I can't really say Evil Dead is horror. Don't get me wrong, it's one of my all time favorites, but the only one that's actually horror is the first one.

Still though, that movie scared the living shit out of me.

I can't really pick a favorite but one of my favorites of the past few years was [REC] which was later remade into that piece of shit movie Quarantine.

Come on, Hollywood. Do you really have to remake and Americanize everything great?

There's a film called The Orphanage, a Spanish film. It's like a ghost story mixed with a fairytale. Might not be considered an out-and-out horror but I thought it was great.

Agreed. There's a Silent Hill 2 movie coming out that I'm not looking forward to 9_9

I've been told Ring and Grudge were scary but, MAAAAAN, they were weak as fuck.

I'll play it safe and go for this:

Shit; wrong one.

The Thing.
Its just creepy.

And the Evil Dead series was pretty good. But in a bad-laugh-at campy sort of way. Think they understood that movies were meant to be fun, and applied it rather well to the horror genre.

Horror films have to be horrifying; Evil Dead really isn't.

But hey, each to their own. My favourite is probably something appalling like Halloween.

Dead Alive. I don't know if it counts as horror, but it has zombies, and it's funny as all hell.

John Carpenter's in the Mouth of Madness is a truly underrated little gem. I think Sam Neill brings it up from your standard camp.
But thinking about Carpenter, I might have to go with.

28 Days Later. Its not particularly scary but its freaking awesome.

Also Shaun of the Dead is the greatest movie ever made but calling that horror is a pretty big stretch.

Yes, those are sub genres, but the other Evil Dead's just seem like straight up comedy to me.

Granted, they're funny as hell, but still not horror.

Oh come on man! What the hell? Why would you bring up something so horrifying?? Everyone knows to never bring up that movie after that mass suicide of people who thought it was far too horrible to live in a world with such a scary movie...
