It's okay until you get into the Black Ops forum. I go in there and try to correct people or put them in their place for being stupid (OMG TREYARCH IS GAY THEY DIDN'T PATCH THINGS TO MY EXPECTATIONS NO MORE OVERPOWERED GUNS GAME SUCKS TREYACH DOESN'T CARE) or just attract haters for no general reason. Don't know how it started, but I got someone to create a hate club about me. There are trolls aplenty there, and even one of the main admins troll. I used to frequent the Flood over at bungie.net, but I don't go there anymore. Not since...the incident....

I don't have other forums that I visit anymore, just the Escapist. Used to be on the forum my old WoW guild had though, but that's two years or so ago (if not more).
And for those of you who looked at my post count after I said that, I'll just say that I only post where I think my opinion differs from others or I think I can provide some useful insight on the topic at hand. Other people usually say stuff better, so I tend to shut up if someone has said something similar.

I'm a regular poster on Giant in The Playground- www.giantitp.com. Hosts the Order of the Stick webcomic, too. Very friendly community. Despite its roots in D&D, it's grown around that and into many other facets. Worth checking out.
My favorite forum of all time is the X-Men Briefing Room, which isn't around anymore, unfortunately.
As far as participation goes, The Escapist is pretty much it for me. As far as lurking/browsing, it's probably YouTube or IMDb -- it's like watching Jerry Springer. They're great.
MMO-Champion's forums are fun to read from time to time, especially when there's a lore-related discussion going.
