So, since I'm getting back into Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube, which I got when I was 8 and have been trying to get into ever since, I decided I'd start this thread.

I've got a few in particular, some that I've never completed, that I'd like to share.

Of course, there's Tales of Symphonia, but there's also...

-Golden Sun
-Final Fantasy VI, which I want to get once it's on PSN and finish, since I only got about 30 minutes into it.
-Chrono Trigger is pretty good.
-Charles Barkley's Shut Up and Jam Gaiden

What about you fellas?
Any series that stand out to you?

Tales of Symphonia rocks. Get a friend, sibling, or significant other to help you play it - the co-op is crazy fun.

Other than that, I liked Skies of Arcadia for a lot of the same reasons I liked Tales of Symphonia (although I think that ToS is probably a lot better) and recently really liked Devil Survivor.

Tales of Eternia. Released as Tales of Destiny II in the US. It was the second JRPG I ever played (FFT being the first) and it's actually my favorite game in total. I haven't played any real series, considering that it's the only Tales game I've ever played and I've only played FFT and 6. Does Castlevania count? Because Aria of Sorrow is incredible, and it comes from Japan, and is an rpg... However, that's the only Castlevania game I've played.

And this is the only point that this post will have: ^

Lost Odyssey.

To be honest, I haven't played many JRPG's in my life, but I loved Lost Odyssey. I must've cried at least five times reading through the snippets of the main character's past adventures. Geez, those were some depressing/great stories...

Tales of Symphonia, of course. Actually, all the Tales games I've played so far were good (including Abyss and Symphonia 2).

Other than that, Final Fantasy VI was fun, and both Baten Kaitos games were a blast.

...Co-op? There is such a thing? Or is that in the sequel?
I'm playing the original...

Tales of Symphonia is by far my all-time favorite. Followed by Golden Sun, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and Chrono Trigger. Oh, and Demon's Souls. Cannot forget Demon's Souls.

The co-op in Tales of Symphonia consists of whomever you're playing the game with, taking control of one of the party members in battle. That's about the extent of it, though. It's quite fun.

Yeah - you can basically plug in a second controller and set one of the characters to player-controlled. It's awesome.

EDIT: Ninja'd haha

Yeah, the co-op in tales of games is battle only, other players controlling the other party members in the battle. I've never actually tried it myself, only child and most of my friends didn't care for jrpgs, hah.

I'm probably going to be the first one to say I don't find ToS to be that good, huh? I used to love it, but now I just find Lloyd and Colette too annoying and plain(Mainly colette actually, I loath colette).

Tales of the Abyss and Persona 3 are probably my favourites from more recent years.

Played quite a few this year, at the moment I'm playing through Trinity Souls of Zill O'll which is quite good, map and towns are all menu based, but the dungeons and gameplay is fun and great to look at. Completed Arc Rise Fantasia the other week and that was surprisingly good too, the voice acting is atrocious, but the story was actually pretty damn good.

Can I count Pokemon?
Yeh, I'm counting Pokemon

I also liked FFX becuase it was so funny when it was bad, and despite that it had a good leveling/skill system.

Defiantly Arc Rise Fantasia never heard anyone talk about this game even though it had awesome gameplay that was new (at least I never played anything like it before) except for some bad voice-acting it was a great game.
