My favorite classes would have to be:

Sniper: I feel like that's what I usually go with when it comes to first person shooters, that and in love that SMG that comes as a secondary.

Pyro: I feel like from time to time I cause a huge massacre with the pyro, and I really enjoy playing as a more offensive person every now and then.

Least favorite:

Medic: Not that I hate it, it's just I really suck when it comes to being a medic.

My honorable mentioned would have to be a spy. I like playing as one, but I hate get killed by one just as much.

Favorite: Spy Least Favorite: Spy

I hate the spy because it's the class soo many people want to play but they are awful at it. Also it's a class where 3 or 4 people will all be spys and simply hinder each other by driving the other team into paranoid fits. There needs to be 1 spy, maybe 2 if they are both good and coordinate. You don't disguise as the opposite team in your own base and run over to the other base, no one buys that.
Ugh, I hate that. I'll go onto a server with no spies, do quite well as a spy, then realise that 3 other people have suddenly decided to also go spy and I have to switch so that my team doesn't get destroyed.

OT: As the above paragraph explained, spy is my favourite class, my least favourite is medic, because of crappy players who get us both killed and blame me.

I switch classes ALL the time, I've been playing long enough that I can play as anyone and I will normally go for the class that no one is playing in the game. The load out you choose is very dependent on how you play as well. For example, I'm one of the worse snipers in terms of headshots you can imagine, but when I give the Sniper a Huntsman (Bow and Arrow) I can easily top the leader board. Although if you had to ask me my favorite class it'd be pyro by a long shot. Nothing like flanking enemy forces with cleansing flame. Give me an Uber or a Kritzkreig to go with it and I'll clear out a turret nest.

In terms of classes this is my style:

Scout: Force-a-nature, Boink, Sandman - Run around out back and take out teleporters, flank snipers, knock a baseball into a crowd and use your invincibility to distract turrets. I'm all support when it comes to scout.

Soldier: I can't play a soldier for tits. Some people who can wipe out entire teams with him, the only person I usually blow up is myself.

Pyro: Backburner, Flare Gun, Axetinguisher/Homewrecker - Spy check, flanker, all round bad ass? Pyro is my all time favorite class, not just because he/she can rape medics, scouts, demomen, snipers... well anyone else but a Heavy. Watch out for those Heavies, seriously they are the bane of your existence.

Demoman: I'll be honest, besides for Medieval games I don't use him much. Occasionally if a turret nest is blocking us, but even then not really.

Heavy: Natascha, Sandvich, [own preference] - Heavy is my second favorite class, he is a room clearer and when combined with a medic who knows what they're doing is often a game changer. As long as you have someone keeping an eye on spies than just charge forward.

Engineer: When you know the layout of a stage well, the Engineer can stop an army. However playing the engineer is really heavily dependent on how good your team is at supporting you. I know the perfect positions to put turrets on payload maps, but if my team let too many enemies through or if they don't help me when I get overwhelmed than there is no point.

Medic: There is often an issue with either too many medics or not enough medics. On some games you can get away with not having any Scouts or Engineers but you should ALWAYS have a Medic, on a team of 12 you should have at least 2. Use Kritz if you're on the defense, and you uber if you are on the defense. Haven't tried the Quick-Fix yet, however combined that with a pyro and I imagine they can cause some serious damage with the immunity to movement impairment.

Sniper: Huntsman (I renamed my Huntsman - 'The Penetrator'), Razorback/Jarate, Tribal Man's Shiv - If all fails fire into a crowd and hope you hit something. I like the Huntsman, it lets me get closer to the action and the Sniper becomes deadly in narrow corridors.

Spy: There are different ways of playing dependent on the type of invisibility you use. Personally I go for the Cloak & Dagger. Patience is everything. Waiting until you're able to sabotage structures or backstab key enemies when your armies push through. Even if you know you can't destroy a building, sapping it at the right time can win you a game. Very few people realize this. People on your team don't push forward when you sap buildings, they expect you to destroy it before they move forward. Some spies won't even sap if they don't think they can cause alot of damage so they just sit there doing nothing until a pyro comes by and burns their nipples off.

Favorite: Sniper, when you land a headshot on a fully charged medic from across the map, or headshot a soldier which was in the process of rocket jumping, then you can understand how satisfying it is to play sniper. Also the huntsman is great for messing around with if you dont feel like playing seriously, and the class itself has a massive scale in points for how good your aim is.

Least Favorite: So hard to choose..... I'll go with pyro. Just because I never feel like I'm being more useful than the soldiers and heavies taking the front lines, or the medics and engineers backing them up. If I'm not constantly checking for spies, I'm running around hoping to get a lucky reflect or flare gun shot.

I like playing all of them in some situations... though the favorite is usually soldier, especially on maps with lots of rocket jumping potential. Least favorite.. probably scout, running fast is cool but some other classes also have tricks you can do to boost mobility and keep the firepower (Examples: Heavy spin jump, soldier/demo explosive jump, sniper quick-scopes, engineer sentry jump etc.) so not exactly a big deal for me.

I love playing pyro and Scout, though drops haven;t been very... usefull to my tastes.
I hate the demo man. All melee and one-hit kills.I would say the Heavy, but I don;t think I have the right weapons with him yet.

Engineer is my class.

I'm not really interested in getting the most kills, although it's my class with the highest streak. Moving a sentry around can really mess up an attacking team.

I like the mental game that goes with being a good engineer. You have to know when it's best to build, move, or destroy your buildings. You have to memorize pretty much every little nook and cranny of the map, so you can always know the best places to set up sentries so you maximize their killzone while minimizing the enemy's ability to destroy it. You have to be able to think fast. Especially on offense where you're constantly moving up teleporters and dispensers. Teams love when you can keep a dispenser up all the time right behind the front lines, so they can fall back and get back into the fight in no time. An engineer on the spot makes sustained offenses possible.

I really wish that the Meet the Engineer videos stressed that more than just sentries. They're very useful, but not near as useful as teleporters and dispensers. They're useful on offense when the team is getting bogged down, but, when the team is moving quickly in their advances, I find the minisentry to be more useful because of how fast it sets up.

My least favorite is the Demoman.

The spy is my favorite class to play. I have around 8 hours sunk into that class alone; the only other class that comes close is Soldier, at around 2 hours total.

I think my least favorite class is Medic. I couldn't care less about helping my team; I consider all Medic items scrap metal, and I hardly ever play that class. Not to mention I feel far too vulnerable to play Medic.

I also dislike playing Sniper. I'm used to quickscoping, and the game punishes me for not staying scoped in long enough. I think the mechanic is frustrating at times. (I still hate the Medic more, though.)

I'm going to go ahead and admit that not only am I a TF2 newb, but I also suck at shooter games in general, with the possible exception of the Ratchet & Clank games.

So naturally I like to play the medic, since it's nice to be able to help without actually doing anything that requires effort. Another one of my favorites would have to be the scout, since I enjoy running around at high speeds and generally being an annoying ****. The last class I like to play is the heavy. IZ GOOD TIEM TO SHOOT BABEEZ IN FACE or whatever.

My least favorite I have to say, so far, are the engies and the spies. The engies don't give me as much trouble as they could, but I've had so many deaths by Ninja Gaiden 2 sentry[footnote]As in I didn't know there was a sentry there because I didn't see it, not as in whatever else you could be thinking.[/footnote]. And also, fuck spies. Fuck them and their back-stabbing. It feels like every spy has a trollface underneath that mask.

Soldier and Demoman are the easiest classes, which is why so many people tend to favor them.

My personal favorite is the Pyro, but none of the classes really click with me to be honest.

If that is true, Team Fortress 2 really isn't the game for you. You're not going to get very far playing the lone wolf.

I hate the demoman and spy mainly because I'm terrible at them

My favs are medic and heavy I just love obliterating an enemy team and keeping my own alive
Alos the sniper on the rare occasion I'm actually killing people
