What is your favorite level ever, any game, any system. Mine would have to the Chernoble (tell me if i spelled that wrong) level in CoD4. it was awesome sneaking past and killing all the gaurds in a ghillie suit.

Favourite level would have to be *shock horror* Silent Cartographer on Halo:CE, that or mayybbeee any one of the first 3 levels of Far Cry simply because the graphics just blew me away at that time :$.

On a twist, my worst level ever is challenge 50 on SSB:M, just finished it this morning and i would love to kill the dev that thought a clever or imaginitive pen-ultimate boss would be two giant hands that continually crap on you... stuck on lvl 51 now ;(

So I'm sitting here, trying to think of some imaginative sequence to relate to everyone, but the ac130 gunship misssion from cod4 wont get out of my head. And then it hit me. Thats the one.

Tip for 51: Believe it or not, the best character for that is JIGGLYPUFF. Giga Bowser's hitbox is so huge, he is ALWAYS hit by Jiggly's B-down. The only problem is getting rid of the other two. (for the record, my brother used Jigglypuff to beat that one)

Anyway. Actually, my favorite level comes from 007: Everything or Nothing. You're in this motorcycle chase on the highway, trying to stop Jaws from attacking the city with a rampaging petrol truck. You can do some pretty awesome stunts on the bike, one of my favorites being jumping across to the other side of the highway and dodging all the oncoming cars. No matter how many times I died playing that, I still loved it.

That's my fav. part too of COD4 ...

And another pick for me would have to be the final boss battle against Metroid Prime in Metroid Prime for the Gamecube...

Use jiggleypuff to beat gigabowser, that level is a breeze.
Anyway...geez this one is tough. I really like Ravenholm from HL2, scared the crap out of me. There's more, just can't bring them to mind. Mainly they are my favorites cause of how I reacted to them the first time I played.

It was awesome driving fast and doing wheelies while using the flamethrowers. It was something like being Nicholas Cage in the "ghost rider".

I think my favourite level would be the Oblask dam on time splitters 2...

Here's one I doubt will be too popular: the water temple in Ocarina of Time. It has one of my favorite boss fights of all time, and it's beautiful. Of course, I've never run out of silver keys.

"The Maw" from Halo

I have many favorite levels but that's the one that sticks out.

Every castle area in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was extremely well-done, with excellent music (although the music in the Abandoned Mine freaked me the hell out). It was great fun to just wander around, something I'm seeing less and less of in games today.

The End of Time in Crono Trigger was pretty cool. Just the stark emptiness of it all, with that mysterious old guy standing right next to the Bucket of Destiny (not its official name, but I like to call it that). It became even cooler when you learned who the old guy was.

I liked the level in WC3: The Frozen Throne where you play tug of war with Illidan's cage. I just liked having the AI fight itself while I played around with my heroes.

The hospital in any Silent Hill game. Always creepy, always executed wonderfully.

And, as weird as it may sound, I liked playing at Stonehenge in Guitar Hero II, especially when the UFO appeared during Freebird.

Arctic Circle map in Red Alert 2.
Battledome in Ratchet: Deadlocked. Although compared to the preceeding games of R&C, Deadlocked was little more than pathetic.

Pretty much the entire map of Morrowind. The whole thing was amazing. The swamps, ashlands, that bizarre Telvani coast, even Vivec and Soltsheim really immersed me in the world. The whole thing was just...awesome.

The Cathedral from Fallout.

Man, that place was creepy.
Seconded.
I hated the basement full of pychotics, mad doctors, fanatics, creatures and nightkin.

Also, Fort Frolic in bioshock. Creepiest level in that game.

If only because it was so new at the time, the last level of 'Shadows of the Empire'.

And just to keep it old school, Doom 1, First Episode, Last Level. Right when you walk onto the platform and the Hell Baron's first scream scares the crap out of you. Classic.

The final level in Metal Slug 3. The first half is awesome by itself, but blasting of into space in a fleet of rocket ships, blowing away evil aliens and flying saucers to the tune of some funky sci-fi music, fighting alongside the same mooks that you've been mercilessly killing all game, all of it was simply too cool. And don't forget the final boss. Friggin brilliant.

Test Chambers 17 and 18 in Portal.

and the final level of Perfect Dark. (Skedar Ruins or whatever it's called).

Spirit Temple from TLoZ: OoT (that's the desert one right?)

Stone Tower from TLoZ: MM

Temple of Time from TLoZ: TP

All are excellent.

The zombie level in Time Killers: Future Perfect. I'm sure that if I really sat down and thought for a while, I might think of a better one, but this one just sticks out in my mind. I could never explain what it was, exactly, but for some reason I thought it was an awesome zombie level for an action FPS.
