Yeah, I gotta say of all the games I've played "The Milkman Conspiracy" from psychonauts was my favorite level, I remember walking outside the door and I just started laughing seeing that spiraling street. Followed closely by "Black Velvetopia" because the atmosphere in that level is so fully defined and I just gotta thing for black lights and winding cramped city streets.

Murder of Crows from Hitman: Blood Money for the reason already mentioned above.
A Dance With The Devil " " " " Sharks, Immolation, bdsm, knife wielding showgirls, MP5 wielding bartenders dressed like Satan....Ah..Vegas.

Hmm... to be honest, probably the last level of Halo. The first one that is, not the third. You're in this building and it's crumbling down and really gives you the sense of danger. I loved how many of the elites and grunts didn't bother to shoot at you and just wanted to run away... Felt nice to run them over. Unfortunatly, that was probably the only part of the game i liked.

Mass Effect, the entire level on the Citadel at the end of the game where you are fighting on the side of the elevator shaft.
Yea, that was an amazing level. it was incredible with high explosive rounds in pretty much all of my weapons.

All of Psychonauts. ALL OF IT.
Well, all of it except Waterloo World and the Upper Asylum.
HOLY JESUS H. MOFO'IN CHRIST THOSE GODDAMN EXPLODING RATS.

I also really liked the 'secret room' in Level 17 in Portal. About the Weighted Companion Cube? It fascinated me. I actually stopped playing and tried to read/decode every piece of writing on the walls.

I believe it was The Storm where the Flood are all around you in the ruined city. It's like Ravenholm with Flood instead of Headcrab Zombies. It doesn't change the fact I nearly blew a gasket doing it Co-op and trying to keep my friend alive whilst simultaneously trying to do the same for myself. I barely got though, partly because it was on legendary.

That and the end of the game, driving while the ground is falling apart, FRAKKING CRAZY!!!!! It's like The Maw all over again.

Ravenholm in Half Life 2, made me jump a LOT.
The Forest Temple in OOT, the music was great and the Level design was very trippy.
Able's Ark from Xenosaga III, Best Level from my Favorite Game Series.
Anytime your in the Jungle in MGS3, beautiful scenery and a living Environment.
Final Colossus in Shadow of the Colossus, took me 20 minutes to climb that sucker.

That's all i can think of from the top of my head.

The opening of BioShock (up until the hospital, I mean). That really impressed me. Or the Milkman level of Psychonauts.

The first level in Klonoa 2: the whole game is an absolutely fantastic experience, but that very first level really makes you feel like a kid again!

The second half of the space level in Space Channel 5 Part 2: the dance-off to rescue Space Michael is hilarious and super fun!

Sonic 2 - From Sky chase right to the end. I've alway's thought of that as a segment of its own anyway.

Sonic And Knuckles - Hidden Palace zone, as sonic, when you fight knuckles. Unbelievable.

Metal Gear Solid - The fist fight with Liquid, followed by Snake and Meryl's escape.

I couldn't stand that level. If i heard that little girl say "cradle" one more time i was going to blackjack her in her little ghost head.

I would have to say my favorite level in a game is a user made map on cs 1.6 called ka_superjumping. There was a pool of water which shot you up the complicated map with nades sitting around everywhere. Wasted a summer on that map.

The Maw on Halo 1. Can play that level over 150 times and still never get tired of it.

The entire Underdark on Baldurs Gate: Shadows of Amn. Thought that was the most brilliently designed and interesting place ever created.

And to comply to current social norms, The Sniper mission in Cod4.

Our Benefactors from HL2, and Undue Alarm from Episode One. Both feature the Super Gravity Gun. The second also has Alyx Vance.

The finale of Episode Two was awesome.

In Halo 3, the finale "This Is The Way The World Ends" was a great level.

And in Unreal Tournament, the Sesmar map. I don't know why, but that map is challenging in a good way.

Traditions of the Trade in the original Hitman is one of the best levels ever made. I can't count how many times I've played through it. I'll second the last mission of Metal Slug 3 (because of the way it catches you completely by surprise, and because of how awesomely epic it is) and The Life of the Party in Thief II (though I must say I preferred the demo version, seems like there was more detail in it). Psychonauts had some fantastic levels, as a lot of people have mentioned.
