Favorite Mass Effect party member? (No plot spoilers please)

ME1: Me(Soldier)/Garrus/Wrex - Rifle/Sniper/Shotgun combo. Mauls through enemies like a bulldozer.
ME2: Me(Soldier)/Archangel/Thane - Sniper/Sniper/Sniper, all 3 are the Viper one. That's a seriously overpowered combo, especially with enemies far away from you.

I can't say anything about Mass Effect 2 (my computer won't run it because my CPU is too slow), but in Mass Effect 1 it was, undoubtedly, Wrex. Unfortunately I only found that out very late; I usually took Tali and Liara to balance my Soldier-class Shepard's lack of biotic and tech abilities.
But hey, I can always make up for that in a future play-through as another class.

The the series? Wrex. In the new game so far: Miranda (although that may change). Wrex was just awesome to party with as his personality and combat was my favorite. In the new game I don't have any personality favorites (maybe the doctor or assassin) but I find miranda to be the most useful to compliment my Soldier Shep.

In the first game, Tali and Liara. In the second, Tali and Thane. Now I'm just going to try to get my team through the "suicide mission" alive. Well, Jack and Miranda can go fuck themselves since I don't like them....
I've only played the first, but Wrex wins. The design, the voice, the character, it all goes really well together.
I've yet to play ME2 yet......... hopefully tomorrow!!!!!!!!!
But, in ME1- my 2 favourites (its hard to pick JUST 1.. they all had good parts to 'em {AMAZING writing on that part})
I'd say Wrex- Just damn badass, loads of awesome stories, great voice acting
Garrus- "renegade", he hates beaurocracy, likes to have power/respect, knows what it takes to get the job done and therefore is cool, brutal, deadly and just smooth.
Now, on the opposing side- members I didn't like (main reasons):
Ashley- typical red-neck American *****. Racist, gun-heavy, dumb, religious (nothing against religion), and just REALLY boring...
Kaiden- nothing much bad against him. He was nice.. just seemed.. dunno, a bit gay.. not THAT interested.
Liara- immature/young (reasonable), a bit annoying, somewhat easy to get into bed, obsessed.. (albeit, I did do her)
Tali- Meh, boring, annoying, robotic, pretty dumb, too technological.
Remember, I do like (love all but the humans) all the characters- but these are my main arguments against why the others aren't my favourites.
And from what I've seen on ME2, Thane and Mordin look pretty sick. We'll see when I play.
Miranda sexy and all, and pretty badass with a gun.. what's she like overall? Would be nice to have an interesting human on the team for a change.. (and a hot one at that).
Also- if I romanced someone in ME1, am I stuck with her (Liara) in ME2, or can I cheat/break it up with her and go for, say Miranda??? Thanks.
