Obviously it's quite subjective, but I think of them as Battle Metal. Awesome band.
For me it's Power Metal, Edguy, Avantasia, Jorn, Allen/Lande, Iced Earth, Dream Evil, Dio (kinda), Dragonforce, you get the idea.

Well, most of what I listen to is 80s heavy metal, but conceptually I'm more fond of melodic death metal. In my early adulthood I was more into industrial metal, though... it's all very complicated.

I sample from a few genres, but pretty much anything without screaming, growling, or singing like you just got kicked in the balls (power metal, symphonic metal, etc).

I tolerate the occasional scream, but screaming every word is like typing in all caps, I hate it.
