What is your favorite MassivelyMultiplayerOnline RolePlayingGame and why? Mine's World of Warcraft for no other reason than it is AWESOME. OK, I'd be a pretty big Dbag if I just yelled WoW! and ran away. I like it because the combat isn't turn-based, the environments are interesting and different, there are tens of thousands of weapons and armor, and each class can be different things. Plus, it's pretty intuitive. If you're like me and don't like to be told each thing individually (I don't like starting out a game feeling n00bish, so I usually get the downlow from a friend whose played it), or play a tutorial, a few trial-and-error swings at a Boar or Mana wyrm or whathaveyou, starting area beast, will teach you the ropes. Plus, most of the guide is just about the Classes, Races and history of the place; the Hotkeys are on the back (or in the game menu itself).

Wow, i like how you can really just explore on your own time , some games require point and stat distribution when you level up but that can screw up your character, in wow you just pick a class and learn skills when you want , in your own time, and can find out how to play your characters in your own time as you explore such a varied and vibrant world.
Right now my mains are a lvl36 dwarf paladin and a lvl 21 undead mage. There not particularly high levels but im there more for the exploring of the world with friends and i dont want to hurry to lvl70 yknow?

WORLD OF WARCRAFT cause its just so big with so many different and intuitive designes they could use some new monsters instead of re-skinning an old one but i can let that slide. because of all the other creatures the dungeons the pvp the mounts and everything else about world of warcraft.

im guessing a lot of people are gonna say wow, speaking of recylced character models, have any of you seen the new upgraded graphics of the creatures from the lich king? i dunno if thats gonna redo all of azeroth or youll just magically have a higher polygon count in northrend but ive seen some pics on wowwiki of dryads and the like and its looking like a cel shaded fable, and that rocks.

I used to be a big Wow addict and i still think it's a awesome game even though i had to quit as it was destroying my life.

My Bro is playing a lot of Age of Conan at the moment and it does look really good, i'm especially impressed with the guild villages but it's really buggy over all and the instances all seem to look really samey, plus he's in his late 50's and has done pretty much all the quests available to him at this time so is reduced to just grinding for a while.

I'm still waiting for a Super Bomberman MMO, with a endless world of bricks and power ups, and people with level 1000 blast radius bombs.

Favorite of all time?

Ultima Online.

I'd still play it now if it wasn't a hollow shell of its former self. :(

Favorite currently?

Probably EVE online, I haven't played for awhile though what with it being money I don't want to spend and the fact that it makes my computer seem like it's going to catch on fire.

I tried WoW, but just couldn't get into it. I guess I'm just tired of Elves and Dwarfs.

I was always a fan of Matrix Online, until they murdered the storyline. Continuing a well loved movie franchise into an online game is an idea better left on paper. I did enjoy the ability to 'learn' every class, and switch to whichever you wanted on the fly - so you don't have to make a tough decision and be punished if you change your mind.

Now I'm playing City of Heroes - and can't get enough. The character creation system alone is worth the purchase!

WoW for the instances

City of Heroes for the character creation

A Tale in the desert for the community

Lord of the rings online for the storyline

I'm a MMO Junkie, i just bounce from one to the other ^_^

Eve for now,I got tired of the lack of people willing to try things without a color by number system to beat the boss in WoW.

Without guides on how to beat each and every boss in wow the game would probelly be more fun for me.

The one MMO that will always bring me back is FFXI. I tried WoW but the high end there contained all of the drama with none of the rewards and the art style just hurt my eyes once you made it to Outlands. Gave EVE a try but just didn't find it my cup of tea and am planing on trying Age of Conan and Warhammer Online once I get my new comp.

I don't really play it that much any more, but the only MMO that really clicked with me was WoW. I've tried most of the others, and just found that I couldn't get into them.

Of course, any MMO is only as good as the friends you make playing it.

WoW's gettin' a lotta love. BTW, I have two 70's, and I've thoroughly explored both the Horde and Alliance regions, and the Outlands. The world's HUGE and has so many goodies. Also, I was gonna try EVE ONLINE because I wanted to try a more futuristic sci-fi MMO, could anyone give me some information on it?
